Re: Tanning Parties

I am looking for an extraction fan to fit in the back of my pop up spray tent, do you have any suggestions on what brand or type is best? I know there is one thru CalTan that is $59 so wondering if there is a better priced fan out there?

Also, I have a few high school girls wanting to tan for formals, if they are under 18 what type of consent form is needed? Do their parents need to sign? Any ideas, advice, or samples I could use would be appreciated.

Have a great day.

Re: Tanning Parties

I just talked to the one girl that wanted to have a tanning party. She wants to have it here at the salon....8 women. This works even better for me! :)

I bought a Lasko fan that uses an Arm and Hammer furnace filter (or any furnace filter). I like it pretty well, but I spray painted it black so I don't have to wash it every time I have an appointment!
I think I got it on Ebay for about $45 including shipping.

Re: Tanning Parties

One little piece of advice is to wear a mask or nose filter when spraying several people in a row. I need to do it every time, but I don't. Reason being is that I did a spray tanning party, had my fan, sprayed 6 girls & I was so congested the next day. I know it was the spray because . .. hmmmm .. . how do I put this without grossing you all out?? I blew my nose & "it" was the same color was the solution . I don't wear my mask on a regular basis, but since that happened, I think I should. It clearly gets in your lungs.

Re: Tanning Parties

sonya we bought the best backdrop (filter system) we could find and nose filters are mandatory for clients. i haven't had much trouble yet because the mist is constantly being filtered away from me.
i do know what you mean though the fews days before our backdrop arrived the entire room would cloud!

Re: Tanning Parties

We have an enclosed booth system that sprays right now, and when I do that spray I am blowing the stuff out my nose if I forget to stick my nose filter in. The mask is a better idea though, thanks!!!
