Rep Power: 0 | Blotchy So I have someone that always wants sprayed. I'd say about 2 times every 10 days. It's a bit much and I even tell him that. Anyways he started to become patchy and still wants sprayed. I told him he needs to lay off for a little while to let his skin appear normal again. So, my question.. If I spray him while he is pretty blotchy/patchy will it appear somewhat normal or no? Discoloration? |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Blotchy Does he exfoliate before each session? I would think that if he exfoliated really well before each tan, he wouldn't get too blotchy. My SIL and I consistently are sprayed every 7 days (sometimes every 6). I ALWAYS exfoliate well before (I use an exfoliator glove) and I have never looked blotchy. She doesn't exfoliate and sometimes looks blotchy on her drier areas. So have him exfoliate and see if it helps. You don't want to turn him away and have him start going somewhere else to get his tan. |

I understand what you mean by turning them down may almost be turning them away.. so I get that. Maybe i'll just keep stressing the importance exfoliating as much as possible. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Blotchy I get blotchy when I tan "too much". I tan once a week & there are certain areas where it eventually will "stain". It looks like a light birth mark almost. I have heard that spray tanning often (once a week) will do that to ya (everyones skin is different) & it's doing it to me. HOWEVER.... I have found a solution to the problem!! Soak in a tub with oil (not baby oil) hang out for about 20 minutes, add a little additional oil to your "problem" areas, rub it in, rinse & literally rub the built up color off your skin! It will come off on your towel or wash cloth. It works great! The night before I spray tan , I soak in the tub & do that. Then in the morning, I shower with my baking soda & wash cloth & am ready with a clean canvas! |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Blotchy The exfoliator glove accomplishes the same thing for me. My tan seems to linger in certain areas, and using the exfoliator glove in a hot shower I can scrub it right off without much effort. |
