Does it say anywhere how many decibles it is? I've noticed that some of the companies share that information on each of their machines...that would probably be a good way to compare.

Envytan (where I purchased my machine) put this out about the Apollo TC3:

BUT THEN I NOTICE THIS AS I KEEP READING:

"Trust us; they all make noise, no matter what you read elsewhere. It is after all, a compressor. However, this one is definitely manageable. Sounds like a house vacuum."

SOUNDS LIKE A HOUSE VACUUM??! HOW IS THAT SOFTER THAN A HUMAN VOICE? I didn't notice the house vacuum when I bought it. Oh well. Still waiting to receive it, I'll let everyone know what I think.

I just bought Fantasy Tan's system. Should have it sometime next week. I'm excited that everyone says its so quiet. I'm doing mobile, so I definitely don't want to be yelling over a vacuum-like noise.
I'm anxious to see how I like the solutions though...

Hey Bronzer, you say that most feel the machine is not worth the price. Are you referring to the FT or the Apollo?

Okay, I got my TC3 Whispermist. It isn't loud at all. I turned it on briefly to see before I attached the hose & gun, & it was loud like a shop vac. As soon as I put on the hose & gun, it's pretty darn quiet. I didn't expect it to be so quiet. You can carry on a normal conversation & even talk on the phone if you wanted to. I tested it out & it's working great so far. Haven't sprayed anyone yet, but I've been practicing on cardboard with water.

I love my machine! I just need to work on how to adjust my flow nozzle. I don't have the perfect setting yet.
