Re: Airbrush Room

Eileen,

With that overspray booth, do you have less spray settle on things in the room? How big is your room? (it looks HUGE!). I recently added a turbo tan and have been using my Mystic room to do it. It is picked up hugely recently and it is a pain to clean up after (granted I dont have the proper ventilation...wanted to see if it would take off, which it has). Your room looks you have a seperate place behind a curtain for them to change at? Just wanting to make my room better.

Re: Airbrush Room

eyecandy the curtain behind the unit is actually my temporary office until I move to a back room. My desk is right behind those filters, the fans are white and I have a white deskpad...they are still white after 6 months. I don't know how I would do it without the backdrop. We got the unit 2 days before the backdrop arrived it was a HUGE difference. This room is 18' x 22' there is a changing room to the right of the unit as well that is 3' deep with mirrors, accessories and robes. I want to add another service to this room as well I'm just not sure exactly what yet.

Eileen,

It's beautiful!!!!!! I just hung 2 curtain rods in a corner with chocolate curtains (4 panels total), put a clear plastic curtain liner on the floor (most people use carpet), and I put fresh towels down on the floor where they stand. I'll take a pic whenever I get the chance.

Re: Airbrush Room

Thanks for the info!

My room gets so warm and cloudy! Love the set up you have, but seems so expensive...the back drop is more than my machine! lol I am having my hubby look to see if he can make something like that. I really did not expect my hand sprays to be as popular as they are...I am doing about 10 a week, I do about 3 mystics a week.

Your room is HUGE for sure...Mine is about 8'x9' and I have a the original Mystic in there. i would love to have the space for a dressing room, but dont think i will be able to do that. I def need some sort of filter in there...the room is such a mess after a spray. Good to know about the white staying white! I have a white shelf in my room currently and it is now permanetly brown...ick!

Re: Airbrush Room

$2500 for 3 little walls, a bit of ceiling, and 2 lights. I would concider it for $500, maybe. I suppose they sell it by stating how much $ you will make in the 1st week, month, etc. I love it how since we make $ off it, tanning companys inflate there prices. Kind of like the Formostar. That box with heating pads should be no more than $2k.

I agree it might have taken $500 to make I do think that is low however, but the point is I couldn't make it. They designed it with very large quieter high speed 6600 CFM fans. I didn't find any others like it. It's made of the same aluminum used in jets and it's very lightweight and sturdy. It has 3 compartments I can easily take down and setup in less then 5 minutes. I have taken this to shows and it looks so much more professional then a popup tent. I think a popup tent with one of these fans in the back would be simpler for home visits.
