Island Girl or other Paasche 200 users

I just got my set up today. I havent used it yet but before I do...is there anything I should know? My other HVLP gun was so cumbersome compared to this one. Its tons lighter! I kinda gave it a quick glance over and I cant remember if you can change the settings to horizontal/vert/round?

which one did you get? I love mine. Im not sure if the settings on it are correct or not, but the folks I have sprayed have been very even. The gun seems to be very forgiving. The nozzle does go in vertical or horizontal. Its on real tight, you just have to unscrew it. I did call paasche and thats what the guy told me to do.

Oh, yeah. I try to go in small circles about 6-8 in away from the body. Works for me. I don't use barrier cream either. I keep the gun alot farther away when I spray the feet and hands and all the hands and feet look real natural.

Thanks Island Girl!!! You are super helpful. I have the 200T HVLP and the 400 compressor. This helps me a ton. With my old HVLP I went horizontally and vertically. Does it matter which setting you are on if you go in circles or do you use the circle setting?

I don't know if it matters, but I set mine to go vertical. Also, I wanted to tell you that the back of the compressor will get gunked up by the solution . It will look like its drippin oil. It's not. I was told to get some canned air to blow it out occasionally. You may already know that, but I didn't. That and my hubby lectured me on wiping it down good on the outside every time I use it!! LOL He's such a good guy. I'm glad I can help. I try to give back as much info as I get. This site and these sprayers are awesome when it comes to helping you out...
