Does anyone use the Paasche Airgun?

Liked the idea of this unit Paasche DA400. Low noise (big factor since we do massage here) and it sprays like a 5 inch radius vs. conventional airbrush . Unit is cheap enough also.

I have the T200 gun and I really like it. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it is fast. I have been practicing on some of my clients until I know what I'm doing, and it seems to work real good. The clients tell me the tan is real even and I'm very sure thats the gun and not me and my expertise. I bought mine thru Breeze, but I understand they don't handle the line anymore. I just wanted something cheap for starters to see if spray tan would go here. So far, so good.

What compressor do you use Island Girl? The whole kit is only like $300 through Paasche.

The compressor that comes with the step down kit you are looking at. If you go to their website, mine is listed before the one you want. I have the same compressor and gun shown in the T200 picture. I didn't get any juice with the gun, but I don't think I paid what the website is asking, either. I can't remember.... Anyway, the compressor isn't real loud and I can shoot just air, too which is pretty cool to dry the clients off. That may be a common thing, but its pretty cool to me.

Re: Does anyone use the Paasche Airgun?

I think this is the one for me vs. the Iwata I have now. I haven't used it professionally to spray clients only friends and stuff. It took too long with the regular airbrush . I know HVLP is the rage here, but the noise just wont work for me here.

Re: Does anyone use the Paasche Airgun?

See, I couldn't figure out the difference between the gun I bought and the HVLP guns. The guy at Breeze told me this gun would do the same thing, but not be so loud and if I wanted to take it to "tanning parties", it's not too heavy. This one works for me and it is fast. I tried putting clients in the Mystic booth, but it was too dark and pretty small. Now, I lean them up against the outside of the booth to spray them. That works good, and I don't really notice alot of overspray.

Re: Does anyone use the Paasche Airgun?

Good to know. I plan on either doing inside Mystic booth or buying a pop up tent booth to go in the same room as mystic because all of the supplies are in there, barrier cream, babywipes etc.... I can just take out the chair that is in there to spray.

Good luck. Did you decide what kind of juice you are going to use?

Re: Does anyone use the Paasche Airgun?

Breeze, color was good but I found it to be a bit sticky, Fantasy Tan was good color, didn't last long at all, still trying some others.

What are you using?

Re: Does anyone use the Paasche Airgun?

I was actually thinking about purchasing the same set up. Aviva Labs is selling a bundle that includes that compressor and solution for a good price. The rep that I talk with there says they've been using it for a month now and he loves it. Im sure Ill be oredering one...you can get a set up on ebay for a little over 300$
