Airbrushing Men

It may seem like a stupid question, but when you airbrush/HVLP men with body hair, do you have them towel off? I was practicing with HVLP (cheap unit) and because of body hair they had to towel off, no matter what setting I had it on.

Airbrushing was practically the same thing, a little better though, not as many droplets.

What is your protocol? smooth skin much easier to do.

yup the the more hair the harder to spray.. I dont make them towel off tho. Just let it dry. It always seems to turn out fine.

Also I use Airbrush so maybe that helps.

What Nigel said....it just takes a little bit for the solution to get through all that hair sometimes, but it will get there.

no joke I sprayed a girl the other day who had the hairiest Back EVER!! they were blonde hairs but when you spray the solution all the hairs turn brown.. she was like "OMG IM AN APE" :lol:

I did my partner and it turned out good. I did have him towel off though. I don't see what the difference is, when you do an automated booth you towel off, I would think it would be the same.

SO you just leave it, I would think it would build up and start to run. I unhooked the gun and just blew air onto him which made it worse.

The booth is spraying much more solution on to the client tho Jeff. I guess if you didn't have any trouble having him wipe down after the spray, then go for it.

The booth sprays a thicker solution too doesn't it????
