Re: Help with spraying technique,Please..

2 coats... why? we only do one on their appropriate level and it is perfect every time. get the client to use a non abrasive exfoliant right before she goes in to you with fresh clean skin with nothing on it. get them to hydrate with an extender the next day, which is when they should take their first shower.

Re: Help with spraying technique,Please..

sunnyday- I have an hvlp system and have skin typed each person. I used 5% on 2 of them and 8% on one and 10% on a girl who is really tan. But the tan has not been lasting Max time has been 5 days. First 2 really only lasted 3 days with good color so I think I have been spraying them to light. So I have appointments tomorrow I am going to try the 2 coats and see if we get better results. Any good ideas on how to stop the blotches under the breast? Or is that just going to happen no matter what?

Re: Help with spraying technique,Please..

Primer spray /wipe: CAlifornia tans wipes and I use Maximizer for the prep to balance PH.

Blotchy Breast: If the guest is larger breasted I will have them pose like a body builder, spray lightly, dry or blot gently and respray and repeat. Remember they will always be lighter because their breast usually will be skin on skin: no different than when they do the natural tanning, they usually are lighter under the breast area. They sweat and the salt in the skin usually will make under the breast wear differently. I instr. to use a talic powder and sometimes this helps.
Smaller breast usually not an issue, but I do the same tech.

Re: Help with spraying technique,Please..

We have the client use a towel and hold her breasts up then we tan the stomach/under breast area/some of the breast, then dry really well with hose air. When she lets the towel down we spray breasts.

Some of the bottom of the breast gets sprayed when she is holding them up with the towel... hard to explain in words... you have to get the visual.. LOL

Re: Help with spraying technique,Please..

OH by the way I use a spray called ZEN for them to spray on and towel off. Is it better to spray them with the primer? Does that have to dry first or do they wipe it off?

Question really is? How long does it take to primer them then spray them?

Re: Help with spraying technique,Please..

I think I am on this thread a bit late but I am new and still reading.

Just a Q.. are you using Breezes airbrush solution or their one specifically made for hvlp/turbo? The 5 9 and 10.5 are made for the HVLP and are thicker solutions.

I am just curious if this would make a difference as well as the customers after care.
