Breeze 10 % turned orange
Can someone tell me what I did wrong. I airbrushed many customers with breeze and so far great. but with 5 and 8, when I used 10 it turned my client orange, and I don't mean tinted. really orange and within the first 5 minutes after I sprayed. Although perfectly even and no blotches, orange none the less. I figure I did something wrong but not sure what.
This client had a nice base, and wanted to be darker. so I used 10, but oh man. I refunded the money and offered a free spray when it wears away. but she was angry and I will see if she comes back. Help me figure this out so I don't do it again. Thanks Mindy |

Re: Breeze 10 % turned orange
You probably didn't do anything wrong, but how can you tell if the client is going to have a DEVELOPED color with 5-8 minutes?? This is ONLY the cosmetic bronzer that may appear to be darker due to the bronzer w. her canvas???
I say let wait til the color developes. Why would you give a refund when she hasn't developed yet?? The bronzer on a canvas that has a stronger bronzer will have a different hue than the develop color/THAT is temporary... So ..if client done well with #5 & 8 my question is that I'm guessing that the guest is a skin type 1 or 2?? ;If so 10 is not appropriate for that canvas...You should have sprayed her with her developed #5 or 8 but layered again in a couple of days to achieve a darker color..not necessary jump up a higher DHA, because this will give a canvas (skin type) a DEVELOPED orange tint if it is not appropriate for that skin type... Also if that canvas is not prepared correctly prior to the spray that can give a orangy tint for some... I'm really concerned that you gave the money back prior to the guest developing his/her color??It can take up to 24 hrs for some, but to judge a color hue in 5-8 minutes?? She may have been fine the next after she WASHED off the cosmetic bronzer. So the next time if a client wants to be darker always skin type their canvas and proceed appropriatly based on that. Just remember you don't always jump up in % because client wants to be darker...really depends on their canvas/base to begin with: Sunless, UV or beginning base on their ORiginal canvas...Always ask client when they come in the canvas that you are presenting is this your Natural color/base or do you have sunless on you skin already or is that base color from natural/tanning bed. This does make a BIG difference on the out come once the DEVELOP..I can't stress that enough.. Hope this helps :) |

Re: Breeze 10 % turned orange
Fancy artsy word for skin type: LOL
It actually with our guest makes them a little morer at ease when they think they are a work of "art" vs YOU are spraying my naked body LMAO!! It's all about the presentation Neon...I'm a artist and that makes MY service more expensive!!!LOL |

Re: Breeze 10 % turned orange
PS..when I changed my terminology my artisty sunless price increased and the guest feel their more special because they are a piece of art...I even go as far to tell the guest up front
"If you do not follow my directions for presentation to the world, I will have to terminate our relationship" I politely tell them that is my work they are presenting and I want it to presented correctly.. Then what happens you become VERY much in demand...I"M special LOL>>LOL!! |

Re: Breeze 10 % turned orange
I don't understand. Why is the bronzer such a different color before it is showered off? It should get darker in 24 hours but my understanding of "orange" was combination product and too dark for skin it was sprayed on. No? Sorry, comment sounded like someone in politics or big sales, not an RN. Can you explain it in another way?

Re: Breeze 10 % turned orange
You are correct IMO on to much product on skin that can't support it...
To answer your question Neon..IMO and experience as stated above if you are a light skin type you would not want to put a solution for light skin individual on a darker skin type and visa/versa.. I'm not sure, but maybe some peeps aren't getting it on the skin type thing or am I missing the REAL pic here?? No no politics/or sales..just experience for 15 years. |
