Skin Typing & pH Balancers
Does anyone have any tips for skin typing clients? I am new to the spray business and looking for some advice on how to tell what product to use on who! I just ordered All About Me! 8.5 & 12.5 Medium as well as samples of the 8.5 & 12.5 Dark. Anyone have any comments about this solution? Also, is anyone using a pH Balancing spray? Having luck with it? How can you tell who to use it on? And finally, if it's worth using what brands do you recomend?
Thanks! |

Re: Skin Typing & pH Balancers
I have only ever used one kind of solution and never had a problem with it... pm me for it. As for the ph if you use SLUFF WIPES, it should eliminate any ph spikes that a client could have. Sluff Wipes are excelent not only to balance the ph but also to get off the excess lotion the client may have on or take off that last bit of dead skin that they didnt exfoliate off.

Not really per say... I would think she means customizing color to the skin tone. I know there are certain people I wont spray like people that are on acne medication, so on.

Re: Skin Typing & pH Balancers
Because alot of acne medications both by mouth and topical dry your body and skin out pretty bad. That can cause the tan to be uneven in places on the face if its a lotion or worse "toothpaste mixture" they use or if they are on Acutain or something it can cause their tan to not only not take as well it could come off much faster or much slower... all usually not uniformly.

Re: Skin Typing & pH Balancers
Mostly from the company I get my solution from, they do actual training to get their stuff, they wont just sent it to you. Also from experience and common sense with what I have done so far. Its the same thing with a "sun spot", its drier and wont absorb or absorbs too much, same with scars or new cuts.

Re: Skin Typing & pH Balancers
Idk... taking someones money with no knowledge of their product and sending them to a booth without evaluating skin conditions then letting them get out without checking for drips and stuff SEEMS simple. Id just rather have them come back. ;)
It also is kinda interesting if you research on it and know what you are doing and why something does or doesnt work on people's skin. I just figure if Im not going to be a rocket scientist by trade I might want to know about what I CAN do. haha |
