tinted lotions and spray tanning

Has anyone run into problems with the clients using a tinited moisturizer for a few days, and then coming into get spray tanned! I've had two in the last week come in looking kinda orange... and wanting me to "fix em up". I told them not to use the product cause it obviosuly made them orange. Then told them to come back after the orange was gone. Any ideas about this???

what could be happening is that the DHA in the lotions is conflicting with natural PH levels of the body creating the orange effect. Women have a big problem with this becuase their PH levels go up in down depending on that time of month. To help eliminate orange with a spray on tan us a PH nuteralizer. Then spray them with the desired level of tan. Works well with my clients. I just wonder if they make a ph nuteralizer that clients can use themselves... hmmmm

If you ever have this problem (the ph thing) with anyone you spray, try having them use SLUFF wipes the next time. Its a great exfoliater AND ph balancer.

engfant and I both recommend every sunless provider have a jitterbug sander to exfoliate before a sunless session..............
