Rep Power: 0 | Please help I got a call from a potential client that has skin cancer.....of course she is very white and wants to get an airbrush tan. She then told me she is highly allergic to red dye (it is in all consmetic bronzers). So I told her she could try our clear solution which has no red dye in it at all. She previously got an airbrush tan somewhere else and didn't realize it had dye it and it sent her to the hospital...almost killed her. Any way, my question is, is it safe to spray her? What if there is a speck of red dye left in my gun or airbrush ? What if the filters to catch my overspray spew out a few flecks in the air and cause her to breath in red dye from an old spray? I may have to change the filters every time before she gets sprayed. She would have to be the first spray of the day, so she wouldn't breath in any red dye that might be floating around in the air. What would you do? I then thought she could wear a respirator, and then we wouldn't spray her face....she could use our extender on her face when she got home. I don't know, what are your thoughts? Should I make a special waiver just for her.....and to go through all the trouble should I charge her a little extra?

I would think as a salon owner you will want to provide that service (if it is possible). I am a go above and beyond kind of person for customer service. I would let her know that you are concerned about he allergies and want to do everything you can to provide a healthy option for her. Put it on her physician to make the call, and you may want to check with your insurance carrier and let them know what you are doing too. |
