magic tan spray booth problem..

anyone else experience this??? you can hear air coming out from behind the booth... it seems as if it is coming from the filter area... and there are instructions in order to push up on the bottom of the filter to drain any water build up.. but there isnt any water coming out... and yet i still have this air leak noise coming from there. If anyone has a remedy or has had this problem before i would be grateful to hear it. Thanks again

Re: magic tan spray booth problem..

I dont own a booth, but from trouble shooting my own airbrush system, if you hear or feel leaking air, you have a problem. Your machines probably don't have the correct pressure of air. Are your tans still coming out ok?

Re: magic tan spray booth problem..

yeah the machine seems to be working fine... the fittings are okay... the air is definetely coming from the filter area... i assume maybe just the filter has a bad seal or something small and quirky like that.. thanks for the ideas... i welcome some more if anyone has one

Keep in mind that DHA is a sugar-based chemical and will erode anything rubber. If your gasket is made of a rubber-like material, it has probably been compromized and needs replacing.

Re: magic tan spray booth problem..

The problem is most likely the air filter bowl leaking
by the purge valve. I would call the factory and order
a replacement.

Re: magic tan spray booth problem..

Its pretty common for the filter to leak from the purge valve. Order up a new one!

I'm having problems with my booth also, it won't purge and people are only getting tan from the knees down. Mine is a MT3000. Any ideas why this is happening????

Re: magic tan spray booth problem..

sounds like maybe a board problem. Call Kip at Magic Tan and he will give you your answer. 561-214-1020

I have an MT3000 also, never experienced this, i used to get the machine stopping after 1 or 2 sprays, didn't finish the 4 sprays. Replaced the fluid pump 4 times, but kept happening. Ended up being a board problem. Replaced it and it works fine now.

Kip will have the answer, he always does. He's great.

Re: magic tan spray booth problem..

I purchased a salon and have an older Magic Tan Booth. I have no manual and am having problems, like mist not being sucked out after spray and water not draining. Any ideas?
