Rep Power: 0 | Re: What is the Best "Tan Tent" for mobile spray tanning? Hey! I use a tent I pruchased off of ebay, from tans2you. It was only $47.99, compared to those being sold for $189 (holy cow). I am glad I waited. It has an open top, which is great for lighting (you really need an open top, for ventilation, too) and yes, the floor is open (which I don't like, BUT... two beach towels or that shower curtain idea for the floor would work great! I use an HVLP so, there is hardly any overspray, but there IS SOME. I am using my " airbrush " tonight with the tent, and I plan to use the fan flter extraction during this process, as the "mist" will be confined to that small area within the tent. Just make sure your client is careful getting in and out without scraping their arms against the door opening (had that happen last night). What kind of solution are you using? That's my dilema right now. Trying out different brands and different DHA %. |

I guess that's OK if you have a 5 foot height limit on your customers. Some of the posters above would be well served to research the actual dimensions and features of these products. You're making a blanket statement that all these products are the same and they are not. You are doing a great disservice to the people using this board trying to find useful answers that will allow themn to suceed. Your recommendations set them up to look like rookies in front of their clients. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: What is the Best "Tan Tent" for mobile spray tanning? sunlesspro the tent which is selling at basspro.com DOES NOT have a door which opens at 5 foot. I am 5'3" and the door is almost 6 inches above my head. This forum is 'open' and when people ask for feedback about alternative options we all should be able to say our opinions. Some home spray tan users dont have 100+ dollars to throw away on a tanning tent which they can purchase at almost 60% less. Like I said in earlier posts some people dont care about aesthetics of the tent they are using. All they want is a tent that will allow them to spray and not have over spray all over the place. Yes I am making a blanket statement. Here is a prime example of tent markups! http://www.bargainoutfitters.com/cb/cb.asp?a=317253 $29.97 s/h 5.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/Pop-Up-Tent-Mobi...QQcmdZViewItem 49.99 s/h 19.99 SAME EXACT TENT you may not think i am being 'helpful' and doing a 'disservice' but I could care less what you think. I have received many emails from other posters thanking me for this info. If people want to spend over 100.00 on a tent all the best to them. For those of us who dont have the money to do so we should have the right to find alternatives. Have a wonderful weekend. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: What is the Best "Tan Tent" for mobile spray tanning? 'sunlesspro' I dont know which tent you are referring to but all tents that i referenced do not have 5 foot door openings. Please keep in mind that this is an OPEN forum where people come to get feedback and information from other sunless tanners. The sunless forum is not exclusively for professionals. Frankly, I could care less about what the tent looks like, if it serves its purpose and prevent overspray in a room then thats all im looking for . Aesthetics and 'image' that you seem so consumed with doesnt consume me. What consumes me is the fact that I referenced cheaper tent alternatives for those of us sunless tanners who refuse to pay over 100.00 for a popup tent. Not all of us are 'professional' as I assume you are. Some of us spray tan ourselves and family and friends and dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on a tent that is either similar or identical than the ones that are being sold on other sites. maybe you should join another tanning site that is exclusively for 'professionals'. I have some links if you would like to subscribe to them. I find it puzzling that ive received many emails thanking me for the info since this was your first post here on this forum 'sunlesspro' are you a vendor? just curious |

I started placing a plastic lining on the floor (under the sheet) -- now I only use the lining for parties. Just be sure to wash the sheet frequently. |

I just recieved a 8oz bottle and plan to test out sometime later in the month. |

I haven't used one with a floor, but I can imagine it would be a bother having to clean it up at the customers home prior to packing. With a sheet, I can just load it up and wash it when I'm finished for the day. I really like the South Seas solution . It's a great color, doesn't smell or feel sticky. |

The tent arrived last week while I was away and i opened it up and used it today. The size is HUGE! its like 7foot tall and NOT with a 5 foot door opening i would say the door opening in at 5'5" but the interior is spacious enough room for you to ask the client to move back a bit so you can enter. the floor is not enlcosed which i like because them i can put a sheet down and wash after every spray session. It folded up in less than 30 seconds and i did it without reading instructions and was back in the travel tote in seconds. WOW HOW PROFESSIONAL! ROTFL I would say its worth 29.95 plus shipping. I do not regret buying this tent.I saved myself some money that i can use towards tanning solution etc etc |
