Re: Adding scent to solution???

Just because you have not had anyone react to it YET does not mean there isn't someone that will be. If you relook at my post it is just something to keep in mind. Like most warning labels, it is there to make you think.

Re: Adding scent to solution???

wasn't arguing with you ramcat. I agree. Anytime you add another chemical you are increasing the risk for an allergic reaction. I was speaking about liability for manufacturing the solution.

(not sure if you were even talking to me or not)

Re: Adding scent to solution???

My post was directed at the distributor with the scent. Even though most spray booth companies will warn you about using other solution, none of them employ "Lotion Police". As a booth manufacturer, I come across this all the time. I just tell people that they just need to adjust the spray pressure to accomodate the different lotions.

Re: Adding scent to solution???

Products liability refers to the liability of any or all parties along the chain of manufacture of any product for damage caused by that product. This includes the manufacturer of component parts (at the top of the chain), an assembling manufacturer, the wholesaler, and the retail storeowner (at the bottom of the chain). Products containing inherent defects that cause harm to a consumer of the product, or someone to whom the product was loaned, given, etc., are the subjects of products liability suits.
When a salon adds scent they become an assembling manufacturer as well as the retail storeowner therefore would be liable as assembling manufacturer and the retail store owner.

Re: Adding scent to solution???

Let us know - I was tempted to try it as well.

Wondering if it just makes the salon smell nicer, or if the user smells like vanilla too.
