Re: Fantasy tan anyone?

hahaha I hardly call it bashing, just stating facts. The water isnt a problem, its all the other ingredients in it, it is the most chemical on the market and if you think its the best then thats your opinion but the opinion here in Australia is the opposite. The solution coming ourt are way ahead....

I use a product that is just as expensive so price has nothing to do with it. And lol id rather have the sweet smell of lemon orange and bergamot oils than not being able to breathe while having all that alcohol floating around in the air choking me up, my clients always used to complain about the smell while they were getting their tan and now they love it

Bravotan, i now use Liquid Sun by Vani-T, Its fast becoming a favourite over here. I have tried so many and know alot of salon owners that have swapped over to it from many other products, one of them being Fantasy Tan, Sorry but it just doesnt compare, maybe thats why so many people arent a fan of it anymore and airbrushing really is old news when it comes to spray tan application. FANTASY TAN DOES CONTAIN ALCOHOL, THAT IS WHY IT SMELLS LIKE WINE!!!!

Each to their own but i highly recommend all the ones who are using Fantasy Tan, try Vani-T. You dont know what you are missing if you think Fantasy Tan is the best......

:)

Why the plastic piggy machine over the metal?

And what is all about me? Is there a website?

I really liked the vani-t site. Can you attach an airbrush later if you need to to the plastic vani-t machine? Can you customize the vani-t solution for different skin tones or is one size fits all?

Do they have a ph pre-tan scrub or lotion? I am worried about orangeing up a client, I need to make sure I understand the process.... How to prep them correctly to get the best color.
How important is ph? soaps and lotions?

I have used the spray from the beauty salon for years, that is what has me starting my own buisness people love my fake tan.. from a can. Now I want to do business!

i replied to you about the plastic / metal thing in the other thread

I found the complete vani-t system good. Easy to use and quick. I dont know about attatching different guns etc as all the connections can be quite different. I just know that a HVLP with a gun that has a plastic pot is best, there is a pic of it on their website i think.

They sell a liquid loofah which is a all natural scrub but still neds to be used in conjunction with a loofah or loofah gloves prior to being tanned. The bodywear section on the website details all their body products and ingredients etc. Their SLS free bodywash is a great alternative to soap and regular shower gels for best spray tan results.

A client will only go orange if you apply too much product or use a DHA level too strong for their skin tone. You can safely say that you should aim to go about 5 shades darker than your natural tone. Any darker and you a). risk looking un-natural - ie-orange and/or b) have poor fading.

Vani-t comes in light (6%), medium( 8% )and dark (12%) for all skin types. You can also mix the colurs together to get a level in between ie - mixing the 8 and 12 equal parts gives you a 10%.

Sorry about the long post....

glamatan, you're entitled to your opinion, but let's keep the facts straight. Fantasy Tan solution contains no alcohol. i'd be careful about making claims that aren't true as you may be opening yourself up to the possibility of a libel lawsuit being filed against you.

also, fantasy tan isn't an airbrush system. i use a spray gun. again, it seems like you're living in an alternate universe here with some of your info....oh, that's right, you are from australia!

Re: Fantasy tan anyone?

I checked out their website and apparently they do now sell HVLP but the gun solution pot is still metal and is no good as metal breaks down.

I know for a fact that Fantasy Tan did contain alcohol i will find out if it still does, if not they have changed their formula and taken it out. The smell was very noticable.

Are you actually having a dig at me about being from Australia? Nice and extremely mature. Interesting seeing the most superior solutions are coming out of Australia!!

Re: Fantasy tan anyone?

Okay i have just spoken to Fantasy Tan

Yes their solution does still and always has contained alcohol ( only a small amount apparently) they said it must be in there so the solution dries on the clients skin.

Sol solution - sold by Fantasy Tan Australia - is the original Fantasy Tan, re - labelled.

Goldengirl69 please retract your statement threatening legal action as it appears you are in correct.

Thank you.

Re: Fantasy tan anyone?

once again, glamatan, if you go back and read what i originally posted, you are dealing with imposters! Fantasy Tan Australia is NOT the original Fantasy Tan. This is obviously why you are so displeased with their product....it's crap! You shouldn't come on to an American website and start stating facts about an American company unless you are certain the facts are correct. Feel free to call the Original Fantasy Tan at 630-406-6011 if you want the facts.

p.s. i'm not threatening legal action, i'm in no position to do so as i am just a satisfied client of theirs. however, i do know that providing the American public with false information is not looked kindly upon.

Re: Fantasy tan anyone?

I hate to be the bad guy here but.. it seems there are alot of screw balls that are posting nothing to do with the tanning industry and then there are people who just want to complain and argue? There are rules to the site? where are they? Wouldn't it be best if everyone just stated their opinions and didn't challenger others?

Help me to understand why it is okay to defend what you use and bash others, yet it is not okay to post that you represent a product? Where are the lines drawn????

What has been your price point for in-home visits? Certainly this value will vary. However, my salon is located in a quite affluent area. Curious what is high and low.

Re: Fantasy tan anyone?

We have found most people add 50% to the salon price for home visits example if your salon is charging $50 for a spray they are charging $75 to come to a clients home
