Rep Power: 16 | Re: Mobile spray tanning You guys have got to charge more. I live in Louisiana, and i charge 1-$75 or 2/$100. I use PureSunless and Focus solution with my HVLP mobile unit. My unit and tent combines cost $250. I give GREAT results and lasting beautiful color. Iv only been doing this for about 8 months. You dont have to spend a lot of money at all!! Make sure you get awesome business cards and brochures GO EVERYWHERE. Like i said before, i walked around LSU campus for about 4 hours and i'm pretty sure i spray the entire campus now. I went to school for esthiology, and got lisenced (not required). I would get some sort of certificate from the NTTI (online sunless/UV course). You also do not have to have a tax I.D. here in Louisiana just use your SS# and fill out some other tax form. About the credit cards, but a cell phone size device that plugs in your cell phone (download JavaMe onto your phone, set up is $40) system that prints receipts $250, and all info is sent to your QuickBooks program on your computer! Funds automatically go in your account. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Mobile spray tanning but really, why do you guys charge so low?? Do you get that this is a V.I.P. service? This is not normal lol....There are about 20+ tanning salons and well as spas here that offer UV/Mystic/and 1 or 2 that do airbrush . I still get crazy business!!!! When you go to someone you are able to spend one-on-one time, and get to know that person, some people just want a friend! Also tanning parties are fun for people too!! And YOU dont have to entertain, thats what the friends are for! Some tech's are worried about entertaining but your there to tan them and they have each other to talk to, and drink wine with! You can chat after your all done. Anyways, just charge more please, the mobile industry will fail if people keep charging $25-$40 a tan!! (mobile) in the salon its very normal for it to cost $25-$35 but YOU ARE MOBILE!!!!!!!!!! Its a whole different thing. |

You've really got it going on! Nice ideas about getting certified, and your CC program is genius. What, if anything, do you do about insurance? What are acceptable coverage limits for you? | |

I can answer your questions on Tax ID #'s, insurance and registering your business name but can someone help me make my decision on which system to buy. So far I have looked into Fantasy Tan, Infinity Sun, Envy Tan and California Tan. Please help! |

I met with the sales rep from there in October but it was a little out of my price range. I actually went with the Solomist system. Now I am just trying to get the business, bridal parties, proms, etc. Maybe we can help each other with some marketing ideas. Julie |
