Re: Mobile spray tanning

i'm about to do my own thing in the mobile tanning biz.... on a scale of 1-5 how would you rate your satisfaction of the income you're generating with this business? What solutions are in your opinion the best? What type of equipment do you use?
interested and learning,

Re: Mobile spray tanning

I haven't gone mobile much but that's because I have a very nice room here at the salon to do them. We use Infinity Sun Spa with their solutions. I tried others but they were to thin for this unit and didn't have the same color. I also got the portable Scentual Sun Elliminator that's very nice.

Re: Mobile spray tanning

I was mobile when I started last year and charged $45. Now I do both mobile and salon tans, but have since increased my mobile rate to $55. I increased my mobile rate because in addition to gas prices, you have to factor in the time it takes to get there. Sometimes it is 25 miniutes each way in driving (add another 15 for tanning) and that's over an hour on 1 tan. I always emphasize group tanning / tanning parties. It's a value for your clients and it's worth the time for you.

Re: Mobile spray tanning

Hi, I'm in Atlanta and I have a mobile tanning Co. I am interested in working w/ salons and spas but don't have a clue about the 'business' part of this process. I would love to hear your thoughts on...everything- money: rent or % of tan done? And how much $rent$per/ft or $?% do you charge, or do they charge you rather? Also, any tips on the 1st meeting...how it should unfold...would be most apprieciated!
I have the best equiptment w/training,and it gives great color (FantasyTan). I've been in the tng.salon industry since 1995 so I know 'the people'...And I can sell a tan to your grandmother in November...so I'm pretty sure I can be quite good @ this but I need $people$ to work with. Please help me w/ any advice or stories you have. I am about to schedule an appt. w/ a Wraps place that I really want to work with and I'm nervous. Thanks a TON! pattums
