It worked well for that. If you are looking for one to do the sunless tanning, upgrade to HVLP. You will like it better.

I know the HVLP is that way to go NOW. The Iwata brush I have gives me problems with bubbles (see Bubblegate) and I figured I should just buy a new one. Is a single action better for airbrush spray tans ? Thanks, Sar- |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Need Help ASAP! Hi Sar, I have used almost every bit of airbrushes over the last 5 years I could get my hands on. Iwatta is actually not bad equipment as far as airbrushes go. HVLP's are definately a step up. We researched all the actual manufactures of airbrushes and developed a spray gun that will run efficiently off of most all compressors, however it sprays like an HVLP and is about 1/2 the cost of a HVLP. What Iwatta airbrush do you have? (most that have Iwatta will have a single action Revolution BCS or the dual action Eclipse) This will allow me to possibly better help you with your problem. If you are getting bubbles in your cup, that can be several different problems. The most common is a split "paint tip" or a "gummed" up needle. If you like you can call and ask for our tech support team at 877-829-7035 ext. 201 to see if we can help you fix your airbrush . The opinions on single action airbrushes versus dual action is really a long standing debate. Personally I think it boils down to a preference and also matters based on what solutions you use. If the solution you use is thick, then dual action brushes with at least a .5mm needle are best. If they are on the thin side of viscosity, then sinlge action airbrushes do a fine job. ONE thing to always remember is that if you are spraying non stop throughout the day is to CLEAN your airbrush . Otherwise you are bound to have issues. Most all commonly used airbrushes that are used today were not designed for sunless tanning. They work fine but DHA solutions will eventually clog up your brush if you do not clean it. Please do not hesitate to call our tech support team if we can help! Larry
