Rep Power: 0 | question about caltan solutions OK, maybe I did too many perms today & fried my brain, but the caltan clear solution just goes on clear & develops into a tan in a few hours......correct? On a normal white (North Dakota...lol) person, the classic would be better than the dark.....correct? And last question, I promise--when is it better to spray the darker over the classic or when better than clear? Thanks for all your help!!!! |

Seriously, the clear and the bronzing formulas are identical, except for the bronzer in the latter. The bronzing formula has the same time-release properties as the clear, except it provides an immediate and noticeable difference after the application. It's just different strokes for different folks: "Do you want to look tan now, or in 3-4 hours Mrs. Swenson?" I hope this helps. Good luck up dere. -Belvy

Rep Power: 25 | Re: question about caltan solutions Yes - it goes on darker when first sprayed -- that is the KEY difference between the two. The DHA in both will develop the true "sunless" tan the same. But the one will give someone a little "staining" initially, before the DHA color comes out. This part (the "staining" from the darker bronzer formula) will wash off in the shower. At that point, someone sprayed with the classic and someone sprayed with the dark would look the same. |

Rep Power: 28 | Re: question about caltan solutions We prefer clear to tinted because of the rub off factor. Even if you don't shower or workout, most tinted will cause some ruboff onto clothes just from normal activity. Clear eliminates that entirely. Most of my guests come during work hours for Mystic and have praised the clear over the tinted. End result will be the same as Sunsally said |

Rep Power: 103 | Re: question about caltan solutions In an automatic booth, clear is great. You have to be more careful with the clear if using a hand held sprayer, it is harder to tell where you have sprayed . I use the premium on everyone. If they are really white, I spray less solution . If they are dark, soak 'em down. Every solution that has DHA, has a shelf life of approximately 3 to 6 months. If you have a gallon of the regular, a gallon of the clear and a gallon of the premium, are you spraying enough people to use it up before the DHA breaks down? How long has it been at the dist. before you got it? Once the solution breaks down, they leave with the initial color and come back tomorrow wanting to know why the color all washed off.
