Rep Power: 0  |  Enough Already I've had it up to here... with tanning and I haven't even started my business yet. Yes, I've done, and, am still doing my research. Every time I sit at the computer it's never for less than 12 hours at a stretch. But the best research information comes from users/owners, not the supplier/distributer web sites. I'm sure "most ?" of you will agree. No, never mind, you can't agree on anything. Which is why I thought this site would be of tremendous help. Boy was I wrong. The "reason" for this site is great - how it's being used, ... well, that's something else entirely. I understand that people have their preferences: UV-free booth, airbrush , and sun beds. But why slam everyone else's preference. When someone asks for feedback on equipment, a particular equipment, instead of getting straight talk - the discussion turns into an attack from all opposing sides and the debate becomes: which method can be pushed the strongest or win or whatever". Then a personal battle will start pitting one booth against the other, and it goes downhill from there. The original question is hardly ever answered properly. If I ask about a UV-free spray booth, I don't want ignorant remarks by sun bed owners, or airbrush owners, etc. What's the point? I've decided on sunless - back off already. And who are these "habitual talkers"? I now recognize them just by their type style - don't they work? They say they're salon owners, distributors, sales reps, etc but it seems to me they spend 24/7 talking on this site. I know the "type" of booth I want or at least what I want it to do and I know my price range. All I've been trying to do is evaluate any booth that comes close to my requirements. I thought I would find that info here. But guess again. Everything is in-fighting and yelling, and slamming matches. I don't even want to post a question anymore because my question would refer to UV-free spray booth and ONLY UV-free spray booth (I have my reasons). But I know that instead of information I'll just get everyone else's opinion as to why I'm wrong and should consider their tanning method instead - or that I'm a fool for even considering sunless tanning, etc. This I don't need. Where are the real people with the real answers????????? I think this site has become an amusement site for a select few and is of little or no use to the rest of us who want to survive in business. Ok - I'm done. Go ahead. Start slamming me! |

Rep Power: 24  | Re: Enough Already Hmmmm, thats pretty harsh...however somewhat has its points. I do both A/b and UV. However just from your sig' i see you are likely to be anti-UV. Which you are entitled to, but i feel that prob 80% of the peeps on this sight do see and reap the benefits of UV. I see you are also from Canada, but have posted only 9X...speak up on anything you can offer-it's worth it. BUT slammin people/owners that seem to have to much time on their hands is really gonna get you no where...we all have lots to offer that you are obviously failing to see. Don't take things personal, take it ALL in digest it, laugh it off..ignore it-whatever you please. BUT let me tell ya, you haven't opened yet, and your upset with the people in the industry, wait till you're competition rubs you the wrong way and/or purposely tries to ruffle your feathers.... Good luck on finding unbiased information outside of the sites like "Tantalk"... Now good luck with opening , your booth only salon...seriously good luck with that. IMO, I'd have back-up support especially in Canada-don't get angry-just a tip.

Some of the members just like to goof off with the friends that they have been made through this site. Using the search option helps single out information that you are looking for, and there are lots of great people on here that are willing to share their experiences and advice.
