Rep Power: 21 | Re: help with hands whilst spraying please I do exactly what tnannie does, but I also make sure to back off quite a bit when spraying the hands, distance-wise speaking. A little goes a long way on hands and feet, and it makes a difference in getting them to look right, because oversprayed hands/feet are the first give away of a spray tan . I've heard a lot of people say that they liked spray booth results except for hands and feet. When you're spraying someone, you control the spray, and whether the client has actually prepared well or not (you can see them, yeah?) so it's much easier to get everything right. |

Rep Power: 107 | Re: help with hands whilst spraying please Correct Tanfaker. I should have been more clear with my post. The hands and feet do need to be sprayed with a "soft touch" so to speak. Just play around with the adjustments on your sprayer and take your time Kirsty. It's an art, the more sprays you do, the better they will get. :) |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: help with hands whilst spraying please ok, thanks for your help, so, do you not have to wipe off the cream afterwards? also, do you find that even if you spray from around 4pm onwards, the client still needs to be careful whilst sleeping, (incase they sleep on their hands), after how long can they wash their hands? thanks again |

Rep Power: 107 | Re: help with hands whilst spraying please The #1 cause of sunless problems is poor skin preparation. Always ask your clients about skin conditions that they may have. Allergies, birthmarks, skin tone and pore size can all determine how your sunless solutions affect the skin. Some clients' skin will absorb more solution than others and th will def. affect the overall look. I believe another thing that is overlooked is exfoliating before a sunless application. That's when streaks and spots happen. \ Areas such as the face, hands and feet should get a lighter spray than the rest of the body. Try having your clients use a sugar-based scrub before their session. And advise them to keep areas such as the hands, elbows and knees moisturized and not rough. |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: help with hands whilst spraying please kirstyuk: I don't think I clarified the whole lotion thing well...I have my clients place a pea sized amount of lotion across their knuckles. After spreading this pea-sized amount across them (including their thumbs), I have them rub the lotion in until they don't see it on the surface of the skin any longer. Much like they would apply lotion at home, just less of it. I don't have them put any lotion on their palms. I have them hold two water balls as I spray them. It gives their hands good form while I'm spraying, and gives coverage to the palms even though it isn't really necessary, as I'm not targeting in those areas. I've only had one girl who had an issue with her palms after she went home from the studio and immediately took a nap. She was like, "I have an exact palm print on my leg." Normally most people don't go home and immediately go to sleep, and I would think that if you sprayed someone around 4 pm, it wouldn't be an issue. If I spray someone rather late, like 8 or 9 pm, I do tell them it is best to sleep in a long sleeved T-shirt and pajama pants for the first night to ensure all areas that were sprayed have a good chance at even development. Hope this helps!!!
