Rep Power: 0 | Mobile Spray Tanning Hi, im new and looking into starting a home based mobile spray tanning business, are there any restrictions, regulations or licences required to operate this service? I'm in australia, and i cant find any relevant information from the local or state council or anything that even says i need to be a certified technician to do do it. As far as i can tell all i need before i start operating is to register a business name and an ABN. I did the NTTI certification courses, i sent them an e-mail asking if the certicates are valid in australia but have not yet had a response. I would of thought that i would not have been able to do the course if i was in australia, but who knows. Anyways i'm tossing up between two suppliers at the moment but i cant make any decisions untill i know what is required on the biz side of things. so yeah Thanx for takin the time to read my post. |

That being said, I'm wondering what exactly you are hoping for with an online certification of any kind. It won't get you cheaper insurance, there is no airbrush tanning police that will come and close you down if you don't have it, so really it is just there to look professional. No online course can guarantee someone will be a great spray tanner or one that likes to turn people into carrots. That's all up to you - And I'm sure you'll do fine. If you've already been to your local government offices and requested information on whether or not specific certification is necessary and been told "no", I imagine you have a similar process to what we have where I am located, which is, basically, no regulation at all. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Mobile Spray Tanning thanx for your advice, i got a e-mail back from a mobile operater in another state here and she said that she didnt encounter any restrictions or regulations, so basically i just need the gear and some good practice at spraying. Ive found a suitable supplier here and they're being quite helpful with arranging a kit/supplies/marketing/retail and training package to suit my budget. I think its amazing that i couldnt find any mobile sprayers in my own state. Well i that just means more business for me! No real competition except about 5 day spa's that offer it in salon for an expensive price. :) Cant wait! |
