Airbrushing is definately cheaper than having a booth. The downside is during the busy season, you will need to have more employee's to handle the airbrushing as well as the tanning. You can make you money back real fast with the airbrush system.

There are advantages to both. Where airbrushing is cheaper to purchase, it takes an experienced person between 5 - 20 minutes to do the job. You also have the issue of the solution traveling over the salon. I have heard some horror stories of the freaks getting airbrushed too.
With the booth, the customer is tanned in private, in less than 5 minutes and witl no more staff than you now have. If the system has an exhaust and cleaning cycle (which most do now), no solution is entered into your salon. You can a greater number of customers with a booth and that equates to more $ . The important thing is for you to evaluate the overall cost and benefit to your individual salon. |

We've had the Caltan custom bronzer for almost 5 months now and it works great! We are however getting a Mystic booth...I'm hoping that it will apply to a broader clientel and ease up and phase out the need for additional staff. We are finding that people would rather have teh privacy of doing it themselves.
