Rep Power: 69 | Good observation Dani me girl. Lotions/accessories are a two edged sword. It all depends on how it is presented, and the motives for selling it in the first place. Liked your post. I'll put my dee-mod-u-la-tore away for now. |

Rep Power: 0 | Whenever I see that webpage (www.magaent.com) - I can't believe how they think that having twins with their slippers on will help sell their spray tanning booth Am I missing something - perhaps it's a mantan thang! |

Rep Power: 69 | I think spray booths are a "must have" for the salon owner who wants to avoid bankruptcy court if they can help it*. I put my money in the Mystic Tan every day, and twice on Friday! (You savvy salon owners out there get the "twice on Friday" thing). Good luck. *Denotes "Except in Canada" |

Rep Power: 0 | You gotta know that I've taken some time off to play around on this forum. Penny18; Quote:1. There is no such thing as body magnetic properties used to attract solution .You are correct. Ramcat is incorrect. The electrostatic charge that causes lint to adhere to your clothing is imparted into the fabric by mechanical means, typically by rubbing against a dry body. The electrostatic force in the Mysic system is generated by a dedicated power supply, providing for a substantial voltage differential which translates into a considerable electromechanical force. Quote:2. Aloe Vera does not "carry" DHA.The tanning solution is an aqueous mix of several components. The small percentage of DHA does require a higher mass to be caried into the booth, so yes, the liquids assist in carrying the DHA component into the booth. Quote:3. There has not been DHA in foods and the only "cosmetics" that have DHA are tanning lotions. You are incorrect. DHA is sold as supplement into the health industry. Wieght lifters are a target market. I won't comment on the claims or results of it's consumption. Quote:4. DHA is not safe if it gets in your eyes. 5. DHA is not safe to breathe. 6. In the US, the FDA has yet to announce the safety of DHA anywhere but ON your skin. The FDA does not currently have sufficient data to make the decision to allow DHA to be certified as a supplement or for general ingestive use. Quote:While I can appreciate your effort in trying to inform people I do wish you and others like you would research further before posting misinformation. Couple of wheels in the ditch here. |

Rep Power: 0 | Ramcat, I'm laughing out loud here, but I'll get this down if it takes me awhile. Quote:If you need proof, think about static cling and those nasty pieces of lint that are always hanging around (especially in the belly button). Do you find you have to wipe that lint off occasionally? Do you have bushy eyebrows or is that a bunch of lint? How about this one, you must remember, my you have a lot of lint on you, you must be very intelligent. Here's the one that is making me laugh, thinking about somone walking around the house butt naked, collecting lint. That's a hoot. Ok, ok, I'm back, had to wipe my eyes. Nope, no lint. Take if you will a piece of styrofoam. Crumble it and let the pieces fall to the ground. Do some of those pieces attract to your leg? Is it your body magnetics, or is it that you've mechanically imparted a force (electrostatic) into the crumpled pieces? If you did this on a drier day, then tried to wipe away the pieces you may discover that they become more attractive, to the point where you can't brush them off. Let me ask you now, is it your body magnetics or have you further imparted energies into the pieces. Would this work with steel shavings? why not? Notice how the pieces don't stack up on each other into a big clump. Isn't that cool? Where else could we apply this amazing phenomenom? |

Rep Power: 57 | Just a thought. What happens to all that "substantial voltage differential which translates into a considerable electromechanical force" which is apparently induced into ones body during a spray tan session in that booth? Zzzzt! How substantial could it be? Milli volts or killo volts? |

As the supply electrode never touches the fluid, there is no current inducement, hence no danger to the customer. Otherwise it might have the added benefit of a germicide. |

Rep Power: 0 | Wow.... this is an interesting debate. Apparently you can get the same polarisation with spray tanning (when I say that I mean applied by a human as opposed to a spray booth) by asking your client to hold a polarised rod in their hand. |

Rep Power: 22 | As far as the voltage goes...there is none going to the Magnatan plate in the Mystic booth....the wire is justa ground wire. I had to check, becoz I have a 26 year old customer with a defibulator...& didn't want to take a chance that it was gonna zap her. |
