Rep Power: 21 | After spraying the armpit area, make sure that as your clients lower their arms, they do not lower them fully, to where the arm is making contact with the body. Making sure elbows are out will allow for this. Also, after you spray, are you applying any type of powder to contact areas, like the bends of the arms, legs, neck and armpits? If not, you may want to try it. There are two reasons for the armpit area needing powder...First of all, it's a comfort thing. After drying the client, these contact areas can still feel sticky. Second, they may be applying deodorant too soon following their session. This will wipe off any solution that has not had the opportunity to develop. The powder, if scented (I use Vanilla) can help them feel "fresh" and put off the need to apply deodorant. Jen |

Rep Power: 21 | Oh, sorry! I don't spray the powder on, I apply it with a mini-duster. I keep the powder in a container, and as I'm ready to apply, I grab a duster and kind of tap and swirl it around in the container to grab the powder, but knock off a lot of the excess. Then, I just "dust" the powder onto to contact areas of the body. Each duster is sanitized after use. I have about 60 of them, and then I only have to sanitize them all at once, once a week. I use this stuff I get at Sally's called Ship Shape brush sanitizer. Jen |

Rep Power: 0 | One day, after installing a Mystic unit, I did a tan. Worst conditions, dry hands from working, sweat, etc. That night in front of a mirror I could clearly see how my deoderant had run from under my arms, down my torso. Deoderants are VERY hard to wash out. Ever have a shower after reciently appling deoderant? Lots of soap won't completely remove it. The best you can do is to advise your clients about the consequences and recommend that they not use it at all during tan day. Are you serious about washing anothers armpit? The powder thing is a nice touch. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: synthesized on 2005-08-30 14:28 ] |
