Rep Power: 0 | Re: Airbrushing with Breeze? IMO I use Norvel also, I feel Breeze# 9 will be like Norvel's Original. Even though I feel there is NO comparison in results I think you will be happier using Breeze #10.5 to Norvel's Dark. But you have to realize that Norvel's Dark has a the raspberry/reddish tint IMO. Breeze #10.5 will be darker and more natural looking IMO. The Norvel Dark I use on a skin type 3 and the client wants a redish tint. This is only my opinion. But to answer your question I use #8 for my skin type 1&2's: I use the example for Nicole Kiddman skin type... "Breeze #9 I use for skin type 2&3 someone with some color to the skin and desires a natural sunkissed color to their skin..Not a tropical color tan... Breeze #10.5 I use on skin type 3-4 some one with color to their skin and desires a 3-4 day tropical vacation color I use drops for greater developed color if necessary..Most guest are happy with either #9 or #10.5... For the africian american/Asian clientel...I will use Norvel Dark for the client who wants a reddish tint. MOstly MIxed skin or Hispanic/ If they desire darker or toeven up darker skin tone I mix my colors to their desires or use 143C or 12% solution .. Hope this helps Best regards and sucess. |

Rep Power: 18 | Re: Airbrushing or booth? i currently use norvell airbrush system that is probably old! we bought a run down salon that i have been fighting ever since. anyway-i do the norvell airbrush system and its ok. i am thinking of buying a versaspa(pricey!) and doing away with the airbrush . i am tired of being the only one that can perform the service(even tho i have tried to train employees) and it seems to me that most people prefer to be able to go into a booth nude rather than a person such as myself spray them. i have to say, i am doing a good job with it, but i do turn down people who want to be sprayed nude. i just dont want to do that! anyway, i was thinking that we would be the only salon around that offered the versaspa, although 2 other salon fairly close by offer the magic tan booth and the mystic booth. after reading everyones wonderful comments on the Breeze solution , i could try switching to that and i guess i need a bigger gun! this one is tiny and takes forever! what comes first? the chicken or the egg? the Versaspa or the newer airbrush system? i am a conservative and i can wait for the versa spa. the 2 we have in town do quite a alot of business.???? help me please? |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Airbrushing with Breeze? Well, I have the Mystic booth and I am really busy with it. You're right about people and how they feel about being sprayed...BUT, I recently bought an airbrush gun and am learning how to use it as well. My feeling is I have all the bases covered, no one should ever have to go elsewhere to tan. I have it all. I'm going to put the people that I spray in the booth and that solves the problem of the mess. Also, alot of my clients that use the booth, now know me and trust me and say they would definately have me spray them. The gun I bought was not real expensive and I can spray someone in 5 min (after I get good, LOL) |

Rep Power: 18 | Re: Airbrushing with Breeze? thanks for your help island girl. you are right, we should have both to offer. what kind of airbrush system are you using? would you try to purchase the versaspa booth or do you think its over rated? i'm not sure how much a mystic booth is but i know the versaspa is about 20 grand! i just dont know if i can manage that only being in the business for 1 year now. i'm sure it would pay for itself and it does have the advantage of using it to do airbrush tans inside. it has a lot to offer. what is your competition like? are |
