Does anyone else have this unit>? We recently bought an upgrade kit that allows the machine to communicate with the t-max manager but now that it does that it sprays out two rows at a time instead of 1 row as before. This is what magic tan said was meant to happen but now we have been told that we need another upgrade that allows more sollution to pass through the nozzles. I seem to like the old way better but very curious if anyone has come across the same problems as I and what you did about it.

I know that the older MT3000's sprayed one bank of noxxles at a time. Our one was the last of the 3000's sold in the UK before the newer model.

Didn't know anything about more solution though.

Doesn't add up in my mind. I mean, why would you want to spray more solution ???

More solution = more cost per use to us (Salon owner).

Are you sure you understood what they said correctly???

yeah seemed really weird to me also... the machine i have has a flow meter that only goes up to 13 gph where as the new meter they say i need will go up to 20 gph and it is needed because it now spray two rows of nozzles at a time instead of the 1....

mmodel20,

The original MT3000 sprayed 1 bank at a time (4 nozzles) with a flow rate of about 7.5 gph on the flowmeter. So that is 1.875 gph
per nozzle when you divide by four. The nozzles spray for about 1 second with solution coming out. The newer model sprays
2 banks at a time or 8 nozzles at a time at a flow rate of about 12.5 gph on the flowmeter. So that is 1.5625 gph per nozzle. These
also spray solution for about 1 second. This means you will use slightly less solution with the new system and the actual time
the machine is spraying solution is cut almost in half (because twice the amount of nozzles are spraying at once). The higher level
flow meter is needed because the new setting is too close to the limit on the old flowmeter. The reason you need this upgrade
is because the software code to allow the 3 levels with T-Max is only good for the upgraded dual bank setup.
Hope this helps.

that does help and i do understand why i would need it.. but even with that help that you just gave tech2 am i to assume that means the old way of spraying uses more solution so in turn should have better results.. 1.875gph per spray head vs 1.5625 per

Our MT3000 came with the higher flow meter as standard.

How long have you had the booth???

Upgrades are designed to help us, the salon owner, and not usually skim £'s, or $'s in your case, from our pockets.

Because ours came with the higher flow meter I assumed yours did as well. Didn't realise they had upgraded the flow meter on the later of the MT3000's.

Like I said, our 3000 was the last one sold in the UK so it would have had all the latest gadgets on it.

Exactly how many $'s are we talking about here for the flow meter??

It can't be that much, can it? I would feel comfortable with fitting it myself as I regularly purge and maintain my own machine The cost of the part can't be too high.

More doesn't actually mean better, IMHO.

I mean, look at all the wate solution that goes onto the inside of the machine after each spray. The body cannot absorb ALL of the solution that is sprayed at it. For example, if a short person uses the booth, then the top row of nozzles will completely miss it's target. Only the falling droplets will touch the skin which most likely isn't necessary as the skin will only absorb a set amount (different on each person) until it is saturated. After all, we advise our Clients to wipe off any excess rather than most booth manufacturers recommend rubbing the solution in before toweling.

no it is not an expensive part... total about $450 for the t-max conversion kit and the dual bank upgrade kit but just do not know if it is necessary... they tell me with this conversion my top row of jets will not even spray. My mt 3000 has 10 rows of 4 jets and i do understand that they changed that to 9 rows of 4 .. and now they have it down to 27 nozzles instead of my 40. I really just wanted to hookup the machine to the computer without changing anything about how it sprays.
