You really ought to study this Petroleum issue more. IT DOES come from crude oil! ALL Petro Products come from crude oil. Mineral oil is what is the trash that is left over after they refine Gasoline from crude oil.
Oil and water do not mix! All the sunless products we have seen are WATER BASED. In every case we have had with a tanning (UV or Solution based) problem we have found the culprit to be Mineral oil. As it is oil it sits in the pores of the skin and repels all water. No DHA can penetrate to oxidize. We have yet to find a person that does not tan from our solutions once we get them to recognize and clean their skin of OIL! And yes we do occasionally get someone who says they are having problems with tanning and we correct them. We are not newbies. We have over 2500 HVLP Tans under our belt and sell the HVLP equipment nationwide. Maybe it is just the solutions we use, but this has been our experience. Good Luck to you. |

Cosmetics grade mineral oil is one of the safest, most non irritating and effective moisturising ingredients. The particles are also not small enough to be absorbed into the bloodstream. |

I just had a lady sign her 16-year-old up to tan because last week she bought her a spray-tan (not sure which) and she went swimming the next day and it washed off in the pool and she was totally embarrassed. Again, I have no idea which solution, booth, etc (I do not do spray tan). And I am only relaying the story.....(I have no other details)

They are also not small enough to be absorbed by the skin (not sure if that's what you meant) Which means it does nothing other than sit on top of your skin. |
