Rep Power: 24 | No it would not , I have had formal training , and the CaLTan manual that we provide says as much. Its like getting a perm & all those folicules are opened up and thats why they will tell you to NOT wash your hair for a few days , same thing here. |

Rep Power: 22 | I think the spray tanner works better the more open your pours are. We have a HP stand up rhight next to our spray tanner. Heat and light opens your pours - i swear the spray tan looks better and last longer. It also cost more which i like. I think as long as you didnt do it 4 - 5 hours before hand you would be fine. Doing it after at any time would make that particular area fade faster than the rest of you. Your hiar growing back in would hide this though. |

Rep Power: 71 | I am a licensed Esthetican and Cosmetologist, I own my own day spa and wax and spray in the same day all the time for the past 3 years 100's of clients. Nothing happens just put a little aloe gel and barrier creme on the facial area that has been waxed. If you are doing the bikini or legs just make sure all the wax is completely off before spraying. Armpits are a different story. I do not recommend doing these on the same day unless the person is getting custom sprayed and you can control the amount of solution sprayed. Don't put someone in a booth after armpit wax, they will get really really dark. I hope this helps _________________ [ This Message was edited by: Tanology on 2005-05-23 11:08 ] |

Rep Power: 71 | By the way Aloha tan, As Far as the perm explanation, The reason they tell you to not wash your hair for a few days is to allow the natural oils of your hair to come back, not because of open folicules. That is why you can rinse, rinse and rinse some more with water when you have a new perm, the shampoo can be drying so they ask clients to stay away from anything that takes natural oils out of hair for this may disrupt their natural Ph from coming back. |
