We've been using an airbrush to do all of our spray tans , but it takes 30 minutes to do it. Need to know what type of HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) gun to use and the nozzle size. Would like a gun that has a wider spray pattern with a little higher flow to cover more ground (skin) per pass.

Thanks,

We carry the Accuspray unit- have several apollos at 3 of our salons and decided to go with accuspray. Handles are lighter, cups have oz marks so you know how much solution you are useing, Its quieter and lighter and it doesn't come with a $500 box.

I have Tampa Bay tans HVLP....it's awesome ....
I spray a client in 4-5 minutes and no drying time

WOULD NEVER go back to an airbrush again!

Good Luck to you!

you can purchase the gun seperatly , you do not have to purchase the whole unit.

I also use TBT's Speedy unit and have for over a year. Although I still have drying time, just a couple of minutes with a blow dryer, but I believe it helps. I've had nothing but good experiences with my system.

I never spam but here goes, be sure and check out MagicTan's airbrush unit. It is far and away the best with the most featuers on the market.

I saw the Magic tan airbrush unit at the Las vegas show this weekend and wasnt impressed - it would limit a salon because it only allows you to use the Magic Tan solution - I like to offer different types of solution because not everyone's skin can use the same solution .

Re: HVLP Spray Gun, what type or model to get?

I took a look at Campbell Hausfeld, they have a HV 2500. Wondering how it would compare to the Accuspray 220 or 240!

Re: HVLP Spray Gun, what type or model to get?

Accuspray is on the way out. They have been in bad shape since 3M bought them and are heading out of country. They are moving all operations to Panama, and the USA is not an intended target market. I would avoid any accuspray unit because parts etc will be hard to come by sooner than later.

Apollo smokes anything accuspray ever made, hands down no question period.

Can't go wrong with the MaxiMist either, great unit for very little money.

Spend more than 300.00-600.00 on a unit and you got ripped off.
