We've been using an airbrush to do all of our spray tans, but it takes 30 minutes to do it. Need to know what type of HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) gun to use and the nozzle size. Would like a gun that has a wider spray pattern with a little higher flow to cover more ground (skin) per pass.

Thanks,

We carry the Accuspray unit- have several apollos at 3 of our salons and decided to go with accuspray. Handles are lighter, cups have oz marks so you know how much solution you are useing, Its quieter and lighter and it doesn't come with a $500 box.

I have Tampa Bay tans HVLP....it's awesome ....
I spray a client in 4-5 minutes and no drying time

WOULD NEVER go back to an airbrush again!

Good Luck to you!

you can purchase the gun seperatly , you do not have to purchase the whole unit.

I also use TBT's Speedy unit and have for over a year. Although I still have drying time, just a couple of minutes with a blow dryer, but I believe it helps. I've had nothing but good experiences with my system.

I never spam but here goes, be sure and check out MagicTan's airbrush unit. It is far and away the best with the most featuers on the market.

I saw the Magic tan airbrush unit at the Las vegas show this weekend and wasnt impressed - it would limit a salon because it only allows you to use the Magic Tan solution - I like to offer different types of solution because not everyone's skin can use the same solution.

a little advice, hvlp or spraying is a simple concept, air goes thru a hose and thru a guy and you apply to your customers. If you want hvlp go on the web and type in hvlp sprayers and you will find many manufacturers, one being campbell haufield. This is the same unit that many of the distributors sell for upwards of a thousand dollars. You can buy this same unit from a tool company for about $100 or try ebay. We picked one up for $75 bucks, works awesome, and didnt spend $1k for the same unit. Look into it, who do you think manufactures the units for cal tan and ag? There are several other industries that use hvlp sprayers , not just the tanning, do your homework and save a fortune.
