Rep Power: 0 | Jeff did say he was very happy with the unit. And his situation is different their is more to the story. As for ITS I would like to see everything they have to offer then judge them. They seem to be thinking aheahd to the future. |

Rep Power: 0 | Good Afternoon, All: I had recently addressed this issue in another thread, but for the sake of convenience, I'll post again. The story you had read about is only half true, as the person who originally posted the message is an ex-employee. Unfortunately, it was this ex-employee who had contributed to the difficulty of the situation in WV. To answer your questions: yes, we did have a small issue with the machine which occurred during the install (and can be attributed to human error); however, we quickly remedied the situation, and replaced it with a brand new KMT-1000 to ensure she (the WV salon owner) had it up and running for her customers who wanted their sunless tans. She is very happy with it, and is looking forward to receiving an Acapulco Mist very soon. We have quite a few machines out there, and have been getting excellent reviews about the quality of the tan our KMT-1000 provides. ITSTAN is correct in that any negative posts you may have read about ITS have been from either an ex-employee, or our competitors. If anyone has any questions about ITS or the products we manufacture, please feel free to contact ITS anytime by visiting our website at www.itstan.com. We are more than happy to answer any salon owner’s questions about our equipment. Jeni and Mike: From what I gather, you are happy with the sunless booth you have (Magic Tan, correct?). Why, then, do you seem so adamant about ITS? Just curious... |

Rep Power: 22 | ITSGIRL Lets just say I did have a MagicTan or MysticTan, so what, I also have an array of taning beds am I only allowed to comment on equipment I own? I went to the show in Orlando and have seen your equipment in person and talked to your company representives including the owner. I have a very good grasp of what you have to offer and how well tested it is or is not. I was not impressed. Oh it looked OK but that is not what I was looking for in a sunless unit. I wanted marketing help, a demonstraton video, a brand name, some marketing materials, like photos of actual machines not prototype photos. I also wanted to feel comfortable with my purcahse, knowing that the company had a stellar record for service. I like a winner, a proven winner. I hope ITS has a great future but I was not willing to let them gamble with my money I like a safer bet. |

Rep Power: 22 | Do I detect a hint of sarcassmmmmm here? I too, need all the facts, rather good or bad, before purchasing my first spray booth. I value this sites, because I can look at the various companys' comments and see how well they take critisism. I think the company reps deserve respect, but on the other hand should show a bit more restraint and tell it like it is. Sorry, this just my opinion. |

Rep Power: 25 | If you are buying your first, do a CAREFUL investigation! I'd try all the booths you are considering -more than once if you can since you want to make sure your result is typical. Make sure you know what solution is being used when you try it - it can make a big difference. Pay attention to your "experience" in the booth itself (do you have to dance, is it hard to breathe, ...), the color you get (natural looking or not, how dark, ...), how long it lasts, if it rubs off on clothes, what kind of "scent" lingers and for how long,... I'd then also look at support - their technical support, ease of getting resupplied, flexibility in what you can use (are you tied to their brand of myst or not,...), marketing awareness and support, etc. Also consider your particular competitive market - will having a different booth help - or hurt? What sort of prices are being charged? ITSTAN and girl - not to speak for Jeni and Mike since I don't know them, but in general, there have been SO many BAD spray booths that if you have been in the industry for more than several years (which I believe Jeni & mike have) then you tend to be a little cautious and cynical. In this area in particular, everyone wants to invent the next mousetrap and the truth of it is many have been downright horrible! If yours is a great one, that is fantastic, but understand that hearing it from company reps is a little bit of a "been there, done that" to those in the industry who have heard the same claims from many others. |

Rep Power: 0 | I too am interested in buying my first booth. But for some reason it seems that ITS is not receiving criticism but only spam from what I have to guess is coming from competitors. I have also noticed that this industry complains about the originators of this technology, but do everything they can to stop newcomers. This makes absolutely no sense to me. The industry should be glad that there are new competitors. This drives up the quality and lowers the price. I have looked at all 3 M's and I would not buy one for various reasons. After coming to these sites, I would not buy a machine based on what I read here. This is more of a soap opera. I will wait until Vegas and look at the machines quality for myself! |
