Tried the CalTan Spray Unit - Page 2 - tanTALK

It is open...it is a 'unit"...you do not go into a booth...
When you stand on the metal foot plates you hit the button and a fine mist comes out..(after the count down)...it is nothing like the other spray booths!

It does not throw a bunch of solution at your body and hopes it sticks!
You are sprayed front side and then instucted to turn around..
you then turn around and while you are being sprayed there is an air drying system drying the side that was just sprayed.....
When it was over I did not have to dry myself off....I was already dry!

It used 1/2 of the solution that I was used to with other sunless. It was a different experience...you were not being hosed down...I am a tanning pro...but 1 out of 9 times in the "normal sunless' I would have a freak out session!

I really enjoyed Caltan's unit...I had a great even tan ..no streaking and it was such a great mist! The Caltan lotion is great and does not smell! You have to be careful because the Caltan lotion is so dark and level 1 can be used for most of your customers..it is dark!

they have a card system that makes it so you have to buy their solution . I like their sunless lotion, it did not smell and it is very dark.

Can you give us an approximate idea as to how big is this unit and what it costs? It sounds impressive and is it going to revolutionize the sunless industry? The application process seems superior to other mist machines. Where are these units in action and how can you get a demo of this technology. Sorry for ALL the questions but this unit sounds so advanced.

I cannot remember the size. I think it might be on their website.
We also watched one of their techs. getting sprayed and we could not see any spray come out of the unit...we even moved to the side to see the spray and nothing.
It is such a fine mist and a different experience.
I really liked the drying feature and it was great to not have to towel off! The tan was so even and applied perfectly with no streaking!
We will have ours by May and I know someone in Akron, Ohio has one now. You can also go to St.Louis to Caltans office and try it there as well!
I think it will change sunless altogehter...I also think it will get some to try Sunless again, I have had a lot of customers tell me their horror stories with being "hosed" down.

Again, any idea of the cost of this unit? Is there a fear that just mentioning the price of this unit will cause potental customers to just forget it?

they start out at 32k and go down from there..it depends on how many you buy.
