Rep Power: 0 | We have the Miracle Mist unit and recently the solution has a green appearance- shower cap is green, towel has a green tint. Clients have black streaks but they do wash off in the shower, where they used to have a more golden color. Solution went straight from the jug to the reservoir... anyone experiencing this? We are using a well known brand of solution . |

Rep Power: 0 | I have a MiracleMist. It's been in operation since mid-December. No problem with green. Are you using the solution they provided? (just out of curiosity). We had the acrylic split and just before replacing it I popped all the hanging resovoirs and the main feed (up on top) and none were green (I was curious too, if it would be because I knew about the air issue). I have about 20 total gallons of solution , with the original 5 gal jug opened when we first installed. I went ahead and topped it last weekend, and looked again for green. None. I used it myself on Wednesday (23rd) and it was brown as it normally should be. I didn't have streaking, although a few spots didn't apply right because I was in a hurry. I really only jumped in to make sure the unit was functioning correctly. (I try and personally get in every piece of equipment in the salon at least twice a month to spot potential problems). I am having difficulty getting a call back from their technical support about an issue I think may have cropped up. I'll wait until I know it's an actual problem before I post it. As a matter of fact....off to call a 3rd time for help... Who installed yours? Was it Tim Luff? _________________ John[ This Message was edited by: JohnnyComeLately on 2005-02-25 16:15 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | Update: I was able to get ahold of my installer (He's up in Portland installing a MiracleMist now). I mentioned your situation, and he said two possibilities: Your leaving it out in the open (which I doubt), or you could be storing it in a very warm place. As mentioned DHA is a form of food, and is sugar based. So if left out it will start to decay, and in the case of sugar it can start to carmelize. I started to mention this and forgot (my adult ADD), but I don't let a day go by without it getting used. Letting it sit for days without use, from what my disty has said, is a bad thing. Nozzles will start to have issues, etc. So I do one of two things: Tell the staff to spray for free or run the machine and clean it. I also have them run a cup of scalding hot water over the nozzles about once every week. It may be a little over the top, but I want 0 (zero) maintenance issues The issue I was talking about: It appears my circuit breaker tripped on the exhaust fans. So I need to troubleshoot that tomorrow. |
