Please help. I am a newbie, openning a salon in May. I was just offered a used Instant Tan 6 second spray unit. Has anyone had any bad experiences with these, or would you recommend it. Please help, and tell me what to look for. They want 10k. Is it worth it, or do I buy new? Thanks for any help,
Waves

May I ask why you are looking at a spray booth as opposed to airbrushing?

(I don't sell any products....I'm just asking)

Booth vs air brushing? Let me count the ways
1) less messy
2) quicker
3) less staff
4) the right booth is self-cleaning
5) unit will last longer

Okay...I'll count the ways, too...

1) Cost
2) Booth results suck
3) Unit lasts longer (based on what research, I would ask?)
4) Personalized service
5) Space
6) ROI

Ditto. EVERY client I have had that has tried spray booths swear they'll never go back.

The typical response is, "Yech. Ugh."

I would bet that for every dissatisfied customer there were 100 that were satisfied and don't believe everything your customers tell you. They're telling you what you want to hear!

But then there would be an extra staff member to pay? How long does it take?

I don't want the extra staff running my salon. I would like to run it on my own, atleast at the beginning. So thanks for your input, but if I buy a booth, should I go for the Instant for $10k. I want the best booth, but I want the best deal too!
