Rep Power: 0 | You can buy the 2 year old Mystic, from Mystic or $24k, so if your looking at an excellent unit, less shipping, less install, less a jug of fresh lotion, less the replacement cost of a meter, less damages relocating (or insurances to cover), you should be pretty darn close. All that's left is to negotiate desire. |

Rep Power: 25 | I was a little confused by Synthesized's post, but yes - a NEW "original" MT booth is now $25,995 (used to be $29,995 - for awhile this summer it was on sale for 23,995 (add $2K for the multi-myst option). That price, new, includes the compressor, shipping, installation, a few jugs (typically at least 2 - sometimes more on a 'show special') of solution ($350 each normally), and the "starter kit" worth over $1,000 with the video, vinyl poster, marketing CD's, a dozen towels, barrier cream/hairnets/footies/noseplugs/goggles and a few hundred dollars worth of exfoliant, extender and spray products to re-sell. Plus the warranty, and chance to buy the 'extended warranty' if you want for another few hundred $$. Your call. |

Rep Power: 25 | Ramcat - If it is a 2 year old Mystic unit, I assumed it was the original model. Not sure what you mean by "you assumed the best". I believe the new ones just came out this past year in Vegas. Am I wrong Benn35? I bought mine a year ago. I know what I paid, that the prices are 'fixed' (no negotiation, unless you buy multiple booths), but that they then went on "sale" this summer and now are permanently lower than I paid a year ago. I know the multi-myst price because it was offered to me - again, fixed price according to everything I have been told and seen in others who have bought them. I declined that option - in case you are curious. I know the "starter package" because, again, I HAVE one and know what they sent to me - as well as other salon owner friends I have who also have them. That also is something they advertise as part of the purchase price. Also, having your salon on their "salon locator" where anybody can put in a zip code and pull up salons in the area that have Mystic Tan. We get a couple calls a month from that (that we know of). No Ramcat - I do not sell for them, or anyone else. I don't consider this "alot of dealer info", it is pretty basic stuff that anybody that buys one or would even look into it would also know. I read trade magazines, go to trade shows and get communications from my vendors, including Mystic Tan. I can also tell you about what comes with a Matrix and with Sun-ergoline beds. Not sure about other manufacturers - I don't use their products. Is there a reason you are on my behind today? You seem to be following me around from thread to thread trying to stir something up.... And most importantly - do you have something to add to the thread, or just another reason to jump me? I don't appreciate it, nor do I think it is becoming of "The Wanna Be MOD". Also, probably not good to accuse others of spamming when you put the website of the vendor you sell for under every post you make. Benn - I'd say you got a decent deal. Have no idea how "hard" it would be to transport or install - when mine was sent it was a pallet full of boxes and the tech put it together in a few hours. I'd probably call Mystic Tan and ask if their techs are available to "hire" to do it for you! Good luck! |

Rep Power: 21 | My comment about "assumed the best" was there because he did not mention a model. Your post assumed the MT. Mystic had other models even back then. Since you did not say that you knew these prices from an offer, it is easy to presume that the informatio is from a disty standpoint. Starter packages do change and I know that Mystic's has changed several times in the past year. I am not on your behing today, or anyother day, for that matter (unless you want to make an offer)but I also look at the threads and comment on those things I have an opinion on (just like you). Isn't what this forum is about? I am allowed to place my wed site below my name. I admit to being a disty. I don't hide anything. I did PM you in regard to the other posings and said that I apologized for not adding Hockey's name. You both went off line and luckily that thread was killed. I do not want this thread killed, therefore, lets all try to return to the point of the thread. $16K is a fair price for a 2 year old Mystic. Good luck with the booth. |

Rep Power: 0 | It's a great price. Taking down and erecting is not too hard. You'll need a hand with the mechanical panel which is fairly heavy. The mechanical panel and the floor pan are the largest pieces. If your transporting it yourself just make sure the mech. panel is secured. You will run into expense if third party shipping. This will require extensive packaging to protect everything. If the seller is going to ship it, make sure you negotiate a healthy retainer for eventuallities. The Mystic manual had included an installation procedure which you could use. What Mystic models where available 2 years ago? _________________ [ This Message was edited by: synthesized on 2005-01-19 15:24 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | It is actually from a neighboring salon that's going out of business. Less than 3 miles away from my place. Thanks sally and synth for the advice on moving the unit. Anyone know a tech in the midwest that they have had a good experience with? I am happy with the deal but problem was that I had to buy the whole salon at once to get the mystic. I now have about 5 UV beds to get rid of as a result. I am not sure of model but the thing has 1126 on the counter. Very lightly used and really clean. |
