How do you guys that spray manage to get them done???? Do you have two people working all of the time???? Seems I am spending all day running back and forth to the salon to do spray appointments. We are doing 3-6 a day but they are all spread out over the day. Not enough to justify training and paying another employee to sit there all day.

i always schedule sprays only when we are switching shifts ...our airbrush hasn't really taken of yet so its flexible for me...if i have to i come back at night!

I am im the same boat Teresa, this is what I do....When they call I tell them the nexted available appointment I have is at..(blah, blah). We open at 10:00 am so I can get in 3 prior to the Salon opening, then I get off at (shift change) 5:00, so start scheduling them at 5:15...

#2 reason why I didn't go with the Mystic (besides the cost,hehe)

By the time your client gets done watching the video, going through the session, then drying off, then cleaning the unit, I could have Sray Tanned 3 to 4 people, so lets say 3 so thats $84 while you only collected what?? $25.00, so each has it's pros & cons...

I struggle with the appointments too...I just hired a girl to help out with the store while I do them. She is pretty flexible and when I call she usually helps out. Before her, it was a nightmare scheduling the appointments. Trying to coordinate with their schedules, when I could do them, etc. Yuck!

I can spray my customer in 4 minutes and be out of that room...first timers have to have an appt...and after that i give them all the info and paperwork done at the front desk..and the whole key to this is....Insist they pay ahead of time #1 so they keep their appt...#2 so the keep their appt... #3 so they dont ruin their tan digging in their purse or whatever for their money and tip and so they dont ruin their tan....and #4 so they keep their appt...thats the key>>>>>>Keeping the appts so you have your extra bed cleaner on hand...we have been doing up to 8-10 sprays a day and i just started this 4 months ago..i cant wait till i start advertising....i did however loose almost a month for the 2 eyes of some unsuspecting hurricanes..(Frances and Jeanne)...and lost 19 days in Sept but made it out alive...i did get a few quotes in Tanning Trends Magazine on page 113 and 114 of the November issue..beacuse of this....good luck and happy holidays!!!

That's why you get a booth. I agree with anglecat that is why I went with the mystic and will have to purchase another. It may not be another mystic but another spray booth. We have some people that spray and they are happier wiht the resluts of the mystic. You can run more people through it daily then spray.

We schedule appts after 3pm when 2nd staff member starts. that staff member works til close, we spray all afternoon, ave around 17 per day tuesday thru friday, spray gets very busy.

The hussle of continual turnover of spray clients and solar clients gets everybody talking and they can all see each others results = driving the business. Just checked, November we did 323 spray sessions

The only day we don't spray is sunday (only one staff member on duty)

I would love to have an automatic booth...cant afford one...but my room is working great for me...and the hustle bustle does create a stir...which does raise the bottom line... thank you for the ideas of the booth but..i do have to work within my means...have a great day!!
