So how don't you end up with a ring around your feet? Isn't this slippery in the booth? More details please...

I'm all for any ideas about making it easier/better!!! What other ideas/tricks have you found that are good?

zabazu it does not make it slippery because they are quite thin. When you put your foot in the shower cap, pull it tight in the back of your heel. As you slide it down closer to your sole pull it tighter, i can get it to right around my sole where it stays white when regular tanning. Take the remaining portion of the shower cap and twist it until tight, then tuck in the portion that you twisted into the back. I have see clients use bobby pins or paper clips to help with this. I get it so that it comes right down to my cuticles of my toe nails. I have really dry and cracked heels and with doing it this way my application on my feet comes out flawless. Give it a try and let me know what you think. I have also had some of my male clients who have problems with the lotion on their hands, we have used latex gloves that we have here for cleaning beds, the men put them on and fold them back to the middle of their hand and put just a little lotion on the tops of their hands and on their palms. It has seemed to work quite well. I also sell my clients the nail savers for their nails that turn yellow in the bed. If you have the plastic ones they pop em on rub some lotion and saves their nails. They are rubber so you can rinse them and reuse!

River brat~ Good ideas about the booties, I will try it!!!

When your using the booth what do you do to your hands? I find the less that I have to mess with barrier cremes the better...Do you personally just put it on palms and nails, the whole hand what?

Thanks.

What I do and I also tell my clients before the first time to do is.....
Only put the barrier cream from your knuckles down. In between the fingers, around your nails and cuticles. I then follow my palm line around my wrist and ladies with long nails, I tell them to scratch the back of their palm to get the lotion behind the nails to avoid discoleration. I tell them to do this type of application twice on their hands. Then after the second time brush just a little of the excess of barrier cream backwards to your wrist line to blend the application. Most of my clients understand when I tell them this way and it has eliminated quite a few Uh OHs with the hands.

Also the first timers, I have them choose a sticker, and have them wear it in the Mystic. I know my first time I was so apprehensive. This way they have a visual of just how dark they got, and once we started doing this our repeat sales increased.

Between myself and my manager we are always coming up with new ideas to try.

Oh i just remembered. For larger ladies who have a ghetto bootie, I tell them that when I do it I stick my butt out a little to get the under moons, I put it from my perspective so they dont think I am telling them hey you got overhanges. But they always laugh and say great idea.
