I just ordered a LVLP system through Sprays of Rays. It is supposed to spray at just 1 psi, so I hope to save some money by using less solution each session. I can't wait to get it and will post as soon as I have completed my first tan with it! Anyone else out there already using this system have any tips or comments?

I was thinking about purchasing one of these. How has it turned out? What problems have you noticed if any? Is it easy to use? I would appreciate any information you could give on it. You can post here or e-mail me at themills@satx.rr.com
Thanks,
Brandi

Brandi,

I am putting a detailed post up about the system right now to let everyone know about it who has asked me. I will e-mail you a copy as well in case you can't find the new topic. I LOVE the Sprays of Rays II system. It has been so surprisingly easy to use and I literally finish a tan in less than 5 minutes. It is also less than seven pounds which I love!

Is this system still working out for you? I am interesting in getting one for my salon. Do you have a lot of overspray and is it easy to use?

Tuscany,
I still love my system! I do not have much overspray at all. I used melamine walls from Lowe's and built a homemade overspray booth with two inexpensive bathroom fans in the center piece. I got the plans for the booth from abtan.com if you are interested. I do not even typically run the fans though because they are a little loud and because what little overspray I have I just wipe off the melamine walls of my booth.
The system is as easy to use as any HVLP because it uses an HVLP gun. The LVLP part refers to the turbine unit itself. I live in Texas as well. Where are you located? I would be happy to get with you if you are close enough to show you the system and my spray room.
