Rep Power: 0 | I started doing airbrush tanning a few months ago with very good results on everyone except myself. For some reason I develop a more orange colour than anyone else. I've tried the following solutions: React Norvell Succa Sun Now Aviva I can get a reasonable colour if I spray very lightly, bust as soon as I get a lille more colour it goes straight to orange, and believe me, I'm not spraying too much solution on my skin. I'm waiting for some samples of TampaBayTan and I guess Fake Bake and Jamaica me Tan are the next try. Any suggestions on what to do with my skin? Which solution is the less "golden" and goes to red instead? |

My first question is: What % solution are you using? Most type I/II's find that a 10% solution is too strong. I know that React's and JMT's lowest are 10%. You may want to try diluting this with some distilled water and try it this way. I believe that I am a type II and have diluted the react to a 80% react/ 20% water. This has slightly lightend the color that I got without diluting and I find that I prefer the dilluted. Just make sure you are exfoliated evenly. I think that the product was probably too dark. Some people have more yellow in their skin and this might be why it seems on the orange side. Try the 8% TBT and see how that works for you! If you need anything else, let me know!! |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks Chrstie, I am a type II/III skin, and I think 8% DHA is alright for me. The only solution with 8% I have is Norvell, but Norvell is too "golden" and with my yellowish coloured skin it does not seem right. I'll be receiving TBT tomorrow, wish me luck. |

Rep Power: 0 | We are trying a new solution as well, a little more expensive than what we were using, BUT it is made with an all brown base (no green, red or orange). Sprayed a very fair girl with it yesterday, and oh my goodness the color was beautiful going on, am anxious to see how it turned out. This one isn't supposed to leave you "ashy" after you've been sprayed either. Tahiti Mist by Stylz is the name of it. It also has no smell & very little overspray. This spray is also suppose to fade like a regular tan and not blotchy like most do, Is aloe vera based as well. 10%+ DHA solution quick dry time (4 min) max cure time is 6 hours. Just talked to the girl on the phone and she is more than pleased with the color, says it looks more like a natural tan than the last time we sprayed her. |

Rep Power: 21 | Peppermint: You may want to consider an even lighter % than 8%. I know it sounds crazy, but maybe just try it. You could spray very lightly the first day, then spray yourself again the next day lightly again, with a shower in between. The reason I'm suggesting this is you stated how with a light coat your color looked okay. I think you will like the TBT, another one you may want to try is AYU International. Their solution is extremely reasonably priced, and some have had great results with it. Right now they have a special promotion, if you order a gallon of solution ($70) you get like, 12 bottles of lotion for free. (And I've heard GREAT things about their lotions) AYU is a greenish brown solution , sounds similar to Stylz, although I have not tried Stylz, so I could be completely wrong in comparing the two. Good luck! Jen www.abtan.com |

Rep Power: 0 | Thank you for the advice. I received my TBT samples yesterday and tried a light coat of 8% to compare with my last 8% spray with Norvell. I sprayed again this morning and results so far are pretty good, but still too shy. I'll spray again tomorrow to see what happens. TBT I guess has a better colour for me but I would still prefer a more reddish one. I'll keep asking for other samples. Tanfaker, where do I find AYU? Can't find it on the web...I live in Peru, South America, so all I can get is through the internet... |
