Magic Tan owners,
where in your salon do you put your compressor? What do you do to help with the noise? Do those sound blankets or wraps help with the noise? Anyone mount the compressor on the roof? My contractor is looking into doing this? Any issues with this? Thanks for the help |

wow! what kind of a compressor do you have??? Should not be very loud unless it is one of the HVLP without a housing. Are you running multiple stations? Try to make a soundproof box or closet for it. Check out my website for powerful, quiet systems. New HVLP coming soon!

We built a custom shed for the compressor. It is a little larger than the compressor, has air vents on both sides to provide airflow, a slanted shingled roof, sits on a concrete pad. Has a hinged door with a padlock on it.
No problems at all. Easy access for checking and mantainance. Totally protected from the elements. So I would see no problem at all with doing this. What is the techs reasoning ? We also called Magic tan prior to our installation and they gave us the dimensions for building the shed themselves...Our installers had no issues with the setup either. |
