It's about time! Great Job Chunn.

May this symbolize to the nay-sayers that sunless is here to stay!

Yipee.........We need this for those of us who are learning to tan clients correctly with our sunless unit.
Michael, maybe you can give us a kick start... How many sunless units do you have, what kind are they and what bit of wisdom can you share with us to tan correctly...
Thanks in advance
tommy

I have three Mystic-Tan units. I still prefer the tanning bed over spray-on!! I rarely do the spray-on myself. Needless to say there are many other people that either cannot tan in UV light, are afraid of UV lights ( Thanks SUN-SCARE group ) or people that need a tan by tomorrow!

Tracie will make a post today about how well they are doing.

Hey guy! Can anyone point me in the direction of some profitability performance or projection info on sunless. I have yet to see any hard numbers. I understand that no two locations are exactly alike, but I’d be happy with just some averages.

A lot of people say they love it, some say they think it fleeting. I personally can’t see it appealing to mainstreamers at $25 every 5 days. Are there any sunless diehards like in traditional tanning or do people just like it when they need a quickie. I don’t trust the manufacturers for this type of info. Whenever I hear salon owners answering the profitability question, they sound like they are hyping it up so as to promote it and to raise it to mainstream but they don’t really believe what they saying.

Any thoughts and/or direction?

We do the spray on (airbrush) & are going to HVLP as soon as the unit gets delivered . We went this way because of cost.(under $1,00.00 vs $30,000.00 .Havn't broke even yet but also havn't marketed it alot. HVLP is suppose to take under 5-6min instead of 20-25 min (airbrush). We can do more in an hour with the new system. Will let people know how it works. Oh, we charge $19 to 35.00
