We ask them to wear shorts and a loose t-shirt. We look at their legs, arms, and face. Only my mother and I do this process. The ratio doing the booth is 8 women to 2 men. You do not notice too much color at first but you can see any darker areas usually on the wrists or the streaking on the back of their legs or chin bone. There are a few other different kinds of spraybooths in our area including Mystic Tan. We have heard complaining about streaking and blotching from those booths. This crazy process that I do gives the client a piece of mind. I wish that I didnt have too because it is time consuming but it shows the client that we care. We do appointments spaced 30 min apart and Im booked solid for today. Im sure you'll do fine. Welcome to U.V FREE TANNING.

I have had a Mystic Tan for several years and I to have experienced these problems occasionally. Most of the time is is a user problem. The customer will get off the metal plate, thinking that that puts them closer and now they get a drippy mess. Also they don't want to towel off because they think they will get more color. Some customers are just so slow that it can run down their legs and leave a dried drip. Most of the time if you take a little extra time and show the video first and then go into the room and explain in detail, there aren't many unhappy customers. It just takes a little time for the customer to learn proper use. We love Mystic Tan and it does a great job. I also have the new formula with the bronzer.

I've had several occasions were customers came out uneven. It is even more so when we changed to the premium solution . It is just something that has to be dealt with and certain people are just not compatible with the solution . I had a customer yesterday that popped out the mystic room undressed trying to show me the spots on her body. Geez, I was upset that her tan was uneven... but it was not too bad..

What repair costs are you seeing on Mystic Tan booths? Do you replace the special nozzles and how much do they cost?

LOL. I hate stupid people that do not follow directions. You should have given them their money back and told them that they are too stupid to get a "mystic tan".

OK, maybe a bad idea. You should charge them for a double session, and send them in again, but only for the clean-up cycle. The idiot won't know the difference, and the streaking will go away sooner.

was that another bad idea?..................................

those are some pretty harsh and mean words describing the clients that spend alot of money using the services a salon operator has to offer. jee i wonder if they would come back if they knew you called them stupid and idiots behind their backs? remember, treat your clients like you would treat your mother , and i doubt you would call your mother stupid or an idiot

I think Mystic is the best but I use it and the problem I have is my hair is jet black. I put a double cap on and I still have my hair dyed brown a total different color in the lines as the "cap marks" I have started dying my hair now on the edges because it is noticable if I -pull my hair back ..has anyone heard of this?
