OK, I'm new to the sunless world..When someone who is stark white comes in and visits our sunless booth how many visits should they expect to come to get a base tan?
We are using a high end DHA with a light comestic bronzer...
What do you (the professionals) tell your customers when they come in...
thanks in advance
tommy

They should achieve a good tan after the first visist with a good DHA solution ! If they are not getting this right away then switch solutions.

I only do two back to back sessions when I have a very dark client. Some people are resistant to DHA, hence the tan does not take or takes several more tries or higher % of DHA.

1 session and they should be quite tan.I have had all skin types come in and use our booth, noone did not get tan in the 1st session.

Of course if you mean immediate response, it takes 4 to 6 hours for the "tan" to develop and at that time they will be much darker.

What solution do you use?

I always tell clients that one application is all they need for a tan. If you are useing a good DHA solution a base tan is never needed. Anyone who tans more then once a week with our solution looks great, the color is a natural one but THEY look like they shouldnt be that tan. No one is that tan all the time. No matter what the base color they should only always need one application UNLESS its a special event type thing. Best piece of advice though, watch your butt on the fair ones, they are the easiest to mess up.

Is it better to use a clear solution on fare skin clients rather than a bronzer? I have a body piercing shop connected to my sister's barber shop and I have added the tanning. I am still trying to get all the kinks worked out, as I have more guidelines to comply with due to the piercing part of the salon. So, I would appreciate any information that is passed my way. Also, looking for feedback on the Summer Solution products. I have 2 albino white piercing clients that want to tan, but I am extremely unsure of what to use on them.

I have heard that with fair skin clients they should apply a coat of lotion (1) all over their body so that it looks better.... I have not tried this myself but has anyone else heard of this? Tried it?
