HT2,
Have you read any of the above comments? My comment in regard to inhaling was in regards to peppermint's comment. As far as penetration, DHA does absorb into the skin especially if it's an aloe vera based DHA. When You apply a DHA or A lotion it's applyed topically. Topical application is on of three forms for the body to take in nuitrents & vitimans. So just like I would'nt want to breath in DHA I would'nt want to apply it to my skin. One of the most shocking expierences with DHA I have had is when a customer showed me an orangish gunkish substance seeping from each one of her pores WEEKS after a spray, and long after the tan dissapered.

They now make small filters for the mouth so your customers don't have to hold threir breath for 15 minutes. The filters are pretty effective and only cost the salon about $1 per filter. I get airbrushed and the overspray doesn't bother me, but I used one of these filters and it was awesome. Everytime they do one of these assenine reports it seems like they have time to kill on the evening news so they send some flunky out to ask stupid questions that mean nothing to the tanning industry. Can't they talk about the Oscars or the last episodes of Sex in The City or Friends. Leave the tanning industry alone, we do a pretty good job of monitoring ourselves, and the customers can tell the difference between and educated, caring salon and the others.

And no I am not talking about the Michael Jackson surgical mask, it is small, discreet and it doesn't make you look that stupid. Get in touch with me if you are interested.

This might be the reason that your salons are all failing. If you stop sitting on here and bickering all day, maybe you will notice that it is the tanning season, and nobody is in your salon. And the money you do make is getting stolen by your 15 year-old part time "help". Get your fingers out of your asses and talk about tanning, or be satisfied making 20G's a year.

First of all it is Tanmachine. Look at the T. And if anybody doesn't like what I wrote they can read my reply to RandyR. All I am saying is that we need to help each other on this site instead of fighting and bickering back and forth. I was actually responding to a post where a salon owner said that the tanning industry is basically a joke. NOT TRUE. And from being around salons all day every day I know that there are a lot of owners that think this way. But we need to focus on the people who are on this site giving help, and are going to every symposium in their area to get training. People unlike RandyR who just wants to fight. Drink some beer and go fight one of your redneck friends RandyR, because this site is for tanning professionals.

That's not really the context your comments were written in Manmachine. I really dont think anyone was fighting on the thread where you came on with your first post to tell tanning salon owners to get their fingers out of their asses. A thread about a topic that you had nothing to do with in the first place. Its just as much about the attitude you displayed Manmachine. You say "this site is for tanning professionals". The post you made about salon owners having money stolen from them by their "15 yr old part time help" was truly a shining example of professionalism.
I have no desire to bicker with someone who is only 7 yrs past "15 yr old part time help". I DO take offense to the arrogant patronizing attitude you displayed to salon owners on this site.
What distributor do you work for??? Please let us know.

I'm also not too thrilled with your racist views either. You have no idea who I am. Maybe you assume that because I live in Texas I am a redneck. That's called a racial stereotype, Manmachine. I'm sure youre good at those too.

Sorry to insult. Just come across that way sometimes. The "15 year old comment" came from personal experience. I know a salon owner who, just like the people I am talking about, just collected their money and put no personal touch into running the salon. He was using out of date software which allowed employees to steal at will. Tell me you have never had a problem with employee theft. All I am saying is that we need to train, educate and watch the salon employees. Not only to prevent theft, but also to make sure that they are serious about the tanning business. They are your company while you are out. Beside, age doesn't matter, I have been in the industry since I was 18 years old, and will be the first to admit I don't know everything, but that is why I am on here to learn, not listen to people bicker back and forth about insignificant bullsh**. You need to lighten up and realize that you can help people out and throw humor in if you aren't an idiot.
