The Magic Tan floor sits about 4 inches off the ground on a raised molded fiberglass platform. The drain is in the middle of the floor and is really only used during the wash down. There is a small reservoir under the floor that is connected to the drain. The resevoir is pumped out automatically using a bilge-type system similar to a washing machine. When the pump senses water it turns on. Works great. You can actually connect the drain to the same drain as the washing machine (if its close by) but I hooked mine to our existing sink drain in the next room.

ZAB, get a sunless asap. Spring is coming. It`s true I lost customers last spring ,before I had sunless. DON`T YOU GET TIRED OF PEOPLE CALLING AND ASKING FOR SOMETHING YOU DON`T HAVE? I sure do. And then they ask you " WHICH SALON HAS ONE ?" I hate that.

Curious what does Spring have to do with it?

Spring is one of my biggest times for sunless so I guess it has alot to do with it. I have a Bronz Mistand it is an excellent machine at almost half the cost of the magic also the cost to operate it is alot cheaper than a friend of mines Magic. I have been trying to convince him to change but after 2 years he is just about to start turning a profit off of his 30k machine

ZABAZU~~~
I have been doing alot of research on these machines. I to am trying to find the best sunless machine for my salon. As of right now I am most likely going with the MagicTan. The results and the apperance is by far the best of them all.
I didn't like the idea of the Miracle Mist having the foot wash. As far as the Bronze Mist I didn't even try that one. It seems like a very cheap sunless unit. It doesn't hook up to plumbing. Therefore you have to be emptying a pan after so many tans. Seems kinda nasty to me. So I guess the saying goes with this one "you get what you pay for" Beens it is cheaper then all the rest.
I don't like the look of the Mystic at all. So this one is out. Also I have been waiting a week for someone to call me back from Mystic. Not very good customer service.

I hope this info helps you out.

JTanner,The BRONZE MIST DOES HOOK UP TO PLUMBING ! One of my stores has it hooked up to plumbing. You may have misunderstood a post by someone saying that it didn`t HAVE TO BE HOOKED UP TO PLUMBING. That it is self contained and can tan 150-200 people before it`s neccessary to activate the pump out switch. NO PANS. Don`t be ridiculous, it`s pumped out a hose connection. Don`t talk bad about my equipment. "alot of research" HMMMMM
