Two of our salons just (yesterday!) set up the Mystic Tan, and we have four more to follow (for a total of 10 salons with the Mystic, in our area).

It's been a little while since we've had new units, and while we are all familiar with the Mystic Tan, after a while you settle into a bit of a routine..

What are some of your tips, tricks or techniques that you've found to be most helpful in your Mystic Tan?

Anything special that you think others might not know? Share with us!

love, alarris

I don't have one! Wish I could help. The only thing that I have heard is to make sure the clients applies barrier creme to the bottom of their feet. Sure you are familiar with that. Sorry I couldn't help much.

I've heard nothing but general complaints from my customers who used to use Mystic Tan, so I'm not sure what tips or techniques to suggest. I'm not bashing Mystic Tan, and am only replying since it doesn't seem like you're getting a lot of feedback from all the Mystic Tan owners out there... but we've tried it for ourselves, and agreed with our customers... it looks dirty, no matter what "tricks" you do. With our Instant Tan booths, there's no real tips or tricks necessary. The directions are fairly simple, it sprays you all over without having to turn around or request additional "levels" and customers seem to have much less "Ross" like moments with our Hollywood Tans Instant Tan booths than they might have with competitors.

I ALWAYS START WITH MY BACK TOWARDS THE NOZZLES- IT'S LESS STARTLING THAT WAY.
I PUT A LITTLE BARRIER CREAM IN MY BELLY BUTTON.
OF COURSE EXFOLIATE AND USE OIL FREE LOTION. IF YOU SHAVE JUST BEFORE U MYSTIC, IT WILL STING.
I ALWAYS GET AWESOME RESULTS, DOING A LEVEL 2 OF THE PREMIUM SOLUTION .
LEVEL THREE DID MAKE ONE LADY LOOK DIRTY.

Of all the units to get, you had to fall for the Mystic? (shakin' my head) Good luck!

Hire someone that knows what they are doing to help each person get the desired results. Skin preparation is key. Then moisturizing day after day. Find a barrier cream that allows just alittle color ????

Hey Neon

Go jump in some DHA already

You don't like spray booths, fine

Believe it or not, there are many that have great results from spray-on and Mystic in particular

I just tried Summer Image for the first time yesterday. Overall I am pretty happy with the results.. the only issues I really have are with my hands, and on my legs, there are little dots all over where the hair grows. Anyone have any suggestions for me to eliminate this next time? ALl in all though, it's pretty even considering it was my first time. I did find there was a lot of the lotion that came out that I had to rub in, but maybe that's because I'm much smaller than most people using it??

Thumbs up Re: MYSTIC TAN! ..Tips, Tricks, & Techniques..

I'm not a salon owner, however, I frequently use the mysic tan level 13 with bronzers. I have very fair, freckled skin. I found that using the hydration station for 20min before I mystic is the key to an even tan. It makes your skin feel amazing and helps with the tackiness your skin has after the mystic process. My mystic tan lasts so much longer when I couple it with the hydration station.

This is probably not even valid at all, but I do kong fu moves inside the mystic booth when the process is finished.....LOL! For some ridiculous reason I feel like I "catch" more of the spray.....LOL! (embarassing, but so true!)
