Rep Power: 22 | I have only one question about the Bronz Mist Booth, where was it field tested? They just built the first one months ago. Nobody has had this in a salon in the busy season. Nobody has put this machine to the test. Buyers beware, you get what you pay for. How is thier service? How many units in operation right now that are not distributors? Cheep does not blow the roof off anything. Plenty of Cheep tanning beds on the market you want them in your salon, are they blowing the roof off the tanning bed sector? If you need cheep stick with air brush. If you are thinking about spending 20K on anything you better do your homework, don't buy it just because its cheep find out why its cheep. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: Jeni and Mike on 2003-08-30 17:35 ] |

Rep Power: 0 | I was told hundreds have been sold and are in operation in europe. I guess we didn`t get it first this time. I hear it`s the same with the COCO BEACH unit as well. I understand the Bronze Mist unit isn`t cheap either the regular price is $29,900. Only the first 100 get the super discount price of $19900 for marketing purposes. Better get it quick. |

The manufacture is not planning on making a ton of money on each individual booth but quanity but sure I could sell you one for 25 or even 30 thousand if it would make you feel better.(j/k) |

Rep Power: 0 | We have just had the Mystic Tan for about 6 weeks. The unit functions great but again they get you both ways. We are talking Canadian dollars here but the unit is $50K and one container of solution is $650 can. It does about 125 to 150 sessions. We figure the cost per session is $7 to $8 and we charge $30. It's making money but the startup can scare anyone. The results are great but customers must be trained just as much as staff. |

Rep Power: 22 | Rumproaster, You know even less about research and development than you do tanning. First if you think it doesn’t cost a bundle to get a manufacturing plant up and running you are very naive. Second if the unit is sooooo great why does it need to be 10k less? I will tell you why because that’s the only thing it has going for it the price. They did not even have a unit to show people in Vegas and they are from there. Again if you want to do the field testing for a sunless company go right ahead, you will find out two things, how good the machine is and how the service is, because right now that information is not available for Bronze Mist it will be in a year or so, in the mean time I suggest you go with a company that you can get some data on. Do an internet search for Bronz Mist and see what you get, then tell me you want to plunk down even 20K. They don’t even have a web site. Now about the lamps being everything in a tanning bed, not sure where start on this one. If you think the lamp is all that matters I assume you bought your tanning beds at Wal-Mart? Then stuck in the best lamps, right? What ever lamp you like because your state is not regulated so you think its OK. “My states not regulated so we run 10 minute lamps” I assume you mean you let clients tan for longer that 10 minutes or you are running 10 minute lamps in 20 minute beds. Yea, that’s good for the industry; you are the reason why the states are taking over. Running a lamp in the bed that the manufacture and the FDA did not approve for the tan time or bed is exactly one of the reasons for this. When a client burns on your 10 minute lamp going over the 10 minute time do you let them know that they have gone over the manufactures recommended time? When you get your first lawsuit from a client that got burned try telling the judge that the states not regulated. You do know what that means don’t you? It’s like saying they don’t have a radar gun so I can speed. It does not mean it is legal. If you feel safe doing this call the FDA and ask what they think, see if they say its legal. Your state may not be regulated by it self, but it is darn sure regulated by the FDA. You may get away with this for the simple reason that the state has nobody on their payroll that’s job is to check out tanning salons, and that’s the only reason why. I will climb down of my soap box now. Mike, Forgive me Jeni. |

Rep Power: 0 | THAT`S A VERY LARGE OPINION FOR A NON-SALON OWNER. I DON`T HAVE A WEB SITE EITHER. DOES THAT MEAN MY SALONS ARE BAD? DOES IT MEAN MY BEDS DON`T TAN? YOU`RE HURTING THE FEELINGS OF US THOUSANDS OF BUSINESSES W/O SITES. THAT`S NOT NICE. _________________ BE GOOD TO OTHERS.[ This Message was edited by: TANQUEEN on 2003-09-02 12:27 ] |
