STEVE - I'm getting close to chosing a Magic Tan over airbrush. I have a few questions for you. How have you paid for your booth? Did you lease it?
How is the clean-up with it? Do you have it connected to a drain system? How did you do the outside area - where the tanner dresses and towels off? How much room did you use for that? I have a rather small space to put this booth in and am concerned about it getting here and not working out. Do you like the lotion/DHA product that they have? Any answers would be very helpful. Also, what are you charging? What kind of turnaround time do you have? |

The waste water is pumped to your drain through a 3/4 inch hose. Quote: How did you do the outside area - where the tanner dresses and towels off? How much room did you use for that? The unit is 4X5, and you need a big enough room to open the door and put the 5 gal of solution near and also room for the tanner to dress and towel off. You also will need room for an air compressor, but it can be anywhere. Our rooms are 8X10. Quote: Do you like the lotion/DHA product that they have? Yes, it gives a natural tan look. Quote: Also, what are you charging? What kind of turnaround time do you have? $20 for a single, 3 for $45. The time is 15 to 20 minutes to show someone how to use it and explain how to prepare their skin. Only 6 to 8 minutes the next time. I am also very pleased with my MagicTan booth!! I purchased the MT3500 and it works great. I really like the dual solution option. Clean up couldn't be easier. The booth also has a connection to run a sanitizer through the wash down cycle. My booth has a programmale MP3 player as well. It guides clients through how to use the booth and I can also program it to let them know of any specials I am having. I think the four stances also help to provide a more even natural looking tan than the two that Mystic recommends.
Its proven to be a great investment for me thus far! |

Regarding the compressor, IMHO I think that they are ugly....... and NOISEY...... even the quiet ones....
That's why we have mounted ours onto a bracket to the exterior of one of the external walls. Up nice and high so 'fools' can't damage it. I also made a housing to keep it dry. Obviously, I had a qualified electrician wire it to one of these special external power outlet thingy's. The length of hose that comes with it as standard is really long. The solution is great. Best, and most importantly natural, looking tan I've seen. Washdown is a doddle.... We use one of those window sqeegies after the water. You know, like a window cleaner does. You do get quicker with practise. |
